Hi Rosemarie. My family is from Calascibetta in Enna province. My family also told us about the animals living downstairs and the family upstairs. So much of your experience reminded me of my own. The last time that I was there, we only spent 2 nights so I am ready to go back and spend a few more days. I know that there are some distant cousins there. Speaking of doing the trip for your cousins, I am hoping that some of my cousins might be interested in a trip there sometime in the near future...before we get too old to travel easily. Thanks for sharing your experience with us and bringing back so many wonderful memories.
