This is cool tech, indeed!

At school we are taught how to tell the time, as we get older, we appreciate how time tells us and learn to curtail as much jitter in our lives.

A nice observation about the 'pre-aged" OCXO modules. In a similar fashion, the voltage calibration standard that I bought from an eBay seller had a reference that looked as if it was harvested from some other device. So it was already though the initial aging before it got to me. I was less interested in the absolute voltage than the stability, so it worked out well. So nice to have discovered this other channel of yours!

I decided to create it to do "illegal" stuff, too. I decided to omit any projects where you need a license on my primary channel.

A clearly explained (as always) new video on your new channel. Thank you. I look forward to the next one. (Until I fixed the enclosure's screening the square-wave 1MHz output of my home-made VE2ZAZ GPSDO filled my shack with 1MHz harmonics to over 200MHz. Not exactly what I wanted !🙄)

That is the property of fast edges:-). Many GPSDOs use a sine output. Less problems in this respect. These videos are not new. Just cross-posted from my main channel as a start, BTW.

This is a cross-posted video. You can watch the QO-100 videos on my main channel if you do not want to wait till I cross-post them.

Caesium or Rubidium oven control clock standard, hope it is GPS governed mate. 10 M hz standard.

Clever, just mount the PCB directly to the face of a metal box!

Please be aware that the ublox cannot precisely generate any arbitrary frequency - you will get missing pulses. It is using 24 MHz source and a frequency divider, which can generate integer divided frequencies only, e.g. 12, 8, 6,... MHz. This is a disadvantage when needing 10 MHz. vy 73

The GPSDO does not use the clock of the Ublox for the output. The ublox signal is only used to (longterm) change the frequency of the OCXO

Time is not actually a universal standard. One year in space would make you 3ms younger. The only universal standard is the speed of light (in vacuum).

For my purposes the statement is "good enough". But I am sure you are right.
