Oh hell. This is so perfectly edited! This song suits well to Thorin, and I absolutely love how you made paralels with Thror and Thorin. Gah, I have no idea how I'll survive movie. Thorin is one of my favourite characters, I admire him for his endurance, his will, his strength. But hell, I *despise* him for his actions in those last chapters of the book. He suddenly does all those actions that in no way I can relate to a good leader. It hits especially close to home since I'm Ukrainian and only recently we had a president who acted almost the exact same way. I just wish there was a way to stop Thorin. uuuh, I'm forever in denial.

Have you ever known an addict? Then it will help you to understand what Thorin goes through. One of the interesting things about this story is that Thorin starts out as a good guy, then turns bad guy and it doesn't matter because he was really a good guy the whole time.

Carol Pacquer To answer your question, yes, I do know an addict, if alcohollism counts. Is the addict I know a bad guy? No, he is just ill. But you got it all wrong. Thorin isn't an addict in the sense you mean. Thorin suffers from a *heredetary mentall illness*. His action in 3rd movie (and hey, have you missed the moment when he rectified everything?), his fixation upon Arkenstone is rulled by sickness of the mind, which is a running theme IN ALL THREE MOVIES. I am sick of people claiming Thorin is a bad guy, and I will continue to protect him, because *you cannot blame* a mentally ill person. Would you tell me people with such illnesses are "bad guys" as well? You wouldn't because you would offend real alive people. Thorin is not a bad guy. He never was.

RockSashka13 Now now. Let's not get angry. I love Thorin and I have watched all the movies many times and I have not missed anything. I have also read the books many times in my life and also the accompanying books which go along with them. I fully understand the story and I am not saying that Thorin is an addict. Yes I know it "is a running theme in all three movies", no need to use caps, it is inflammatory. If you are sick of people calling Thorin a bad guy and you are lumping me into that group, then I am sorry but you have misunderstood my post and I wish to see if I can clarify what I have said. I am not calling Thorin an addict, I do see however some similarities in what he went through and what addicts go through. Please don't simplify my statement by saying that I am calling him a bad guy. I said at the end that he was a good guy the whole time. right? The similarity is that the are not in their right mind. They do things that they would not normally do because they are under the control of something, they are not in control of themselves. I admire Thorin because he had the strength to see what was happening to him and to come out of it himself. He said several times "I am not my grandfather" and he was right.

I've listened to this changed up version of Broken Crown so many times now that I prefer this to the original lay out of the song **it’s been 7 years since I originally came across this video and subsequently this channel and Shellys thilbo videos have stayed my favourite of all the Thilbo videos I’ve come across since then and before it ❤
