Sitting still and a very low speed the heat will convect out of the cowling, while moving the air rushing under the car will pull air in through the cowling.

comment #14 :all these vented or upgrade hoods besides looks hopefully vent or breath but For Me/GOD , the best spot to add a solar panel sticky flex type is on the hood, unless u pick or add a hood not flat area solar able. This hood add on is solar able so just whether good product or not.

Hood vents and lovers work differently when the engine is running with the jeep sitting still, with the engine running while jeep is moving and lastly when the engine is off and hot. Whine sitting still the fan creates high pressure under the hood and all the vents will push out. While moving the air over the hood will create low pressure pulling air through the hood. Only if air is funneled into the front vent will it run through the vent. When the engine is off and hot the warm air will connect out all the vents. I have a cj with daystar vents in front and back of the hood (left and right). In the same way I see the best performance at low speed or when shut it off. For a while it would over heat when I turned it off after trail or slow traffic driving. I vented the hood and installed an electric fan. Great video! Nice rig!

That one is actually on my radar... I imagine I'll be doing it soon. It's on the list. It's a long list. lol Before I do the upgrade I'd like to figure out how to test the benefits. I'd like to demo the value if there is one, or the lack of value if there isn't.
