Great video! I am using Lumion 8.3 and I want to import a building and a construction site separately. Both models are from SketchUp. Is it possible to have the clip plane cut only through the building and not the construction site/other context?

Unfortunately Lumion is still really limited by its clip plane. It will cut all except lumion terrain and vegetation. I've been pushing for more abilities with the clip plane myself. We'll see.

Thanks for this wonderful tutorial You mentioned that section plane cut everything except trees. I would like to know if it is possible to manually not contain some elements for cutting in section plane?? as an example, I want to hold all interior materials fixed and not cut, but exterior walls come up with cut plane.

THAT is something I would really want! Clip plane that you filter to cut out certain layers, or vegetation, or imported objects. Unfortunately no clip plane cuts just as I said though right now.

Hey, once you recorded the first clip plane - How did you do the other scenes? Did you just repeat the process or does the advanced movement stay throughout the movie making?

Why not just use the 4D software? The rendering quality of some new 4D software is very good.

Keep in mind this video was made in 2016. But Ive used a few others....like Fuzor....yeah not even close to current Lumion quality at all, but ultimately function over form, you use what you makes most sense for your unique situation.

ProCro88 Switch glass to standard glass. Currently clip planes cutting pureglass is not supported.

can i change in the rotation of clip plane..?? i am using lumion 4.5.1 and when i insert a clip plane i can only move it horizontaly. i am unable to change the option as show by you

I'm trying to remember where in 4.5.1 but you absolutely can rotate the pitch and bank I've been doing this since Lumion 3. If it isn't in the new move mode tab then it's just sitting there next to the rotate tool.

it will cut through any format imported into Lumion and it will cut everything except trees and Lumion terrain.

Lovre Predovan Not possible sorry. You can paint the interior walls black or model a section solid.

Arka Biswas yeah it's called backface culling. This came from Revit. Anything coming out of Revit is pretty messed up to begin with.
