@Diyarkamera like in all Sony camcorders I have used the standard settings a ok. I do not like the wind filter and I set the input gain so that the mic input signal is not higher than -9 to -6dB to avoid any overload. I always use Manual mode for the inputs with the Limiter set to 6dB. Auto mode is fine if you under time pressure but I personally do not like the AGC behaviour. For a good sound it is Berger to use an external shotgun mic or a radio mic system (ECM-MS2 for stereo or ECM-VG1 for mono to UWP-D series radio mic).

@@mawa Thanks for the Informationen. From menu settings audio input How should the settings be? CH-2 EXTERNAL INPUT 1 CH-3 internal microphone or off CH-4 Internal microphone or off Sony ecm xm1 sound is too loud Und Rode NTG2
@mawa8 ай бұрын
@@Diyarkamera I would not use the internal mic if there is an external mic available. XM1 is a good mic and you can change the input level over the knops for CH1 and CH2 on the left side of the camcorder. CH1 could be the XM1, CH2 could be another mic but the NTG2 is a studio mic for a source with 10 to 30cm distance to the mic. This is not good as a shotgun mic, but I do not know you setup. You need to figure out what the best input level for your setup/location is. There is only one rule, not too loud to avoid distortion from overloading but also not lo low to avoid high noise. Test it and find out what it has to be. Look on the audio bargraph in the viewfinder/screen.

I use the same camera and handheld microphone, it gets very little sound, when I increase the volume, it makes a very low sound. How can I get the sound properly? I watched it from Turkey, by the way, it was a very nice video danke :))

Hi Kasko, thanks for watching my video. Do you use the MI-Shoe or the Mini Jack to XLR cable?

Ok, but what kind of device deliver the signal? And if it is the URX-P03D on the MI-Shoe, you use the SMAD-P3D adapter? The D is the important point here. Only the SMAD-P3D is a two channel adapter. The SMAD-P03 is a single channel version. 👍🏻😀

I too have an issue with xlr inputs 1&2 . I can only get input 1 on both channels. I have tried with Rode wireless mics and two sm58 dynamic mics, same result, only channel 1 on both channels 1&2. Also, internal mic on 3&4 has no stereo image, I.e. recording and walking around the camera there is no differentiation between left and right just a mono recording. I have checked that input 2 is set to route to input 2. Any insight gratefully received as it’s driving me crazy!

Is there a way to wirelessly connect to a sound mixer when recording a music Gig
@mawa4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin deegen-hall, yes you can use the 3.5mm mini jack's. In the box, you find always two extra cables. For the one channel receiver (URX-P40) a syemtrical 3.5mm to XLR and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. With the two-channel receiver, you get two of the XLR's and a 2x mono to 1x stereo mini-jack cable. Of course, this is an unsymmetrical cable. You find on the sony home page the user manuals with graphics in. Look on page 4. U.S. / EU Version - pro.sony/ue_US/support-resources/urx-p03d/manual Hope this helps to clear.... :-)

@@tedadali5789 sorry for overeating your comment. If I understand you correct, you connect the two xls cables from the receiver (URX-P03D) outputs to the camera inputs 1 and 2. And the result is a mono signal? So both channels record the same audio signal? From channel 1 of the receiver or from channel 2?

Hi! I was wondering if you had a contact email I could reach out to? I just got into filmmaking and am having trouble getting my mic to pick up with my Sony XAVCS. Could really use the help if I could elaborate in an email with what I’m working with 🙏
