The best explanation so far on tri planar projection. What is really the drawback with triplanar projection? What not always use it?

If you have your UVs set up correctly (like all your straps are running top to bottom), way easier and more consistent to use your UVs rather than have triplanar take a crack at it. Especially if your straps are at all angles in your file, you'll get really squirrely, uncontrollable results, with blurring on the projection angle changes
