Great tutorial, just people always seem to go overboard with the weathering , all edges doesnt need to be perfectly worn.

hi, do you have tutorial on painting very low poly model (for mobile games) which doesn't looks low poly and looks very realistic? eg: like a scifi robot or something complex

No, i've been out of the texture game for a while, and I haven't made mobile assets in ages unfortunately

awsome video, I love substance, but even at 2k parts of my mesh are way more pixelated thatn yours, I can't even add alphas on a lot of my mesh even though I have allocated a ton of space to parts where I want to add decals and engravings.

Most often i've found the culprit to be a bad position map...if you baked your maps externally from painter and imported them, if the map contains low pixel information, it'll pixelate your generators, making everything look crusty. This may not be the reason, but if try rebaking your maps, and try using a .png format first and see if that clears it up?

should I be changing the uv editor grid in maya? It is set to the standard 0-1 space, would that be why it is doing that?

mmm i don't think so, as long as you're utilizing the entire 0-1 space and baking at a high enough resolution!

yeah I am maybe its beacuse I assigned a different material for each piece of the gun and baked individually? Thanks for taking the time to reply to all my questions, you rock!
