Cet aboutissement harmonique m'a totalement bluffé.

Music for the soul. Pat and Lyle is a combination that always delivered! I don't know about anyone else, but I consider Lyle Mays (RIP) a fantastic fusion keyboardist and I sure do miss his music - as both a principal contributor to Pat Metheny Group and as a solo artist he was just brilliant and played so adventurously with a unique and joyful tone and phrasing all his own. Since the '70's I've always looked forward to his latest works and it is a sound I will miss.

Lyle once accounted for this magnificent grand TWU finale, code-named M70 in the making: „M70 was briefly labeled "4th movement" by me early on (before we had even written any of it). I withdrew that working title once I realized that we had a much thornier form on our hands. But it was always planned to contain all (or as many as possible) of the previous themes. It feels like a Rondo in that we keep returning to certain grooves and melodies so that's a time honored form for a 4th movement but I don't see TWU as a symphony.“
