This video was very helpful and accurate with your hypothesis.. I'm dealing with a bad coil in cylinder 4 as well. I see the water issue with the seal.. Ford had a similar situation with there ford Windstar. After a rain the van would not go in reverse. Same problem water coming down past the seal leaking in the engine bay. Thanks for the video saved alot of time and money

@@thedudeaaronfyi Sorry for your loss, in response to this video I have used car trunk rubber seal or door seal it's a bit thicker I had to remove the frame bars but they go back.. and it works great!

This might be the problem I have... water gets into two of the coils, coils are sideways and I always get water in only two of them...

My my doughter just bought a 2006England replaced the battery and alternator and still dies what should I do
@hititwithyourpurse93396 жыл бұрын
Kinda a tricky question with very little info but let’s give this a shot.... First measure voltage at batterie. Should be around 12 v or better. Run car and check again. Should be 13-15v while running. But if it dies after it’s been running then that’s a whole other conversation that’s best to have with a mechanic.

Not sure how to get to the bottom bolt on the ignition coil on cylinder #4 my went bad so I want to replace it then fix the water problem.
@thedudeaaronfyi7 жыл бұрын
Im not sure what you mean by bottom bolt... Its been a while since I've seen this particular vehicle. But if I remember correctly, you just remove the air intake from the top of the motor and their should be 1 small bolt holding the coil in place. I believe it was a 10mm bolt. unplug it, Then you can just pull it rite out.

thedudeaaronfyi there are two bolts top and bottom the A/C tubes are in the way. I ended up using another wrench to spread them apart so I could get my socket on it. the hard part was getting the bolt back in without dropping it. unfortunately I still have a misfire on 4 🤔

You might need to unplug the batterie for a half hour or so to let the computer reset itself.
