I was also about 8 years old when this game came out. I wanted this game so badly for Christmas. I remember going to a department store with my parents and sitting on Santa's lap. He asked what I wanted for Christmas and the only thing I told him that I wanted was "The Voodoo Doll Game". I'll never forget the look that he gave me, because he had no clue what I was talking about. Come Christmas morning one of the presents that I unwrapped was this game. I still also have this game in the Box to this very day. Thanks for posting this.

B Lantz That’s a great story about sitting on Santa’s lap. It seems like kind of an obscure game so it’s nice to know that there are others that remember it also. Neat that you still have it also. I’m glad that you enjoyed the video. Happy New Year!

Mark Schussler I remember it was the commercial they showed on TV at the time that really made me want it badly. I wish I could find the original commercial here on KZbin. Hopefully someday somebody will post it here. I must say, looking back on the Christmas of 1967, I gotta feel sorry for the poor guy who dressed up as Santa. He had no clue at all what it was that I was asking for.

B Lantz Wow! I don’t remember seeing a TV commercial for it. It would be interesting to see that. Those commercials always had a way of making a toy seem more exciting than it really was. I can understand how the department store Santa might wonder what the heck you were talking about. I’m sure that Santa may have gotten even stranger requests than that though.

Down the line, another thing I want to do is have “special” guests in the Toy Room. Other people could stop by and show a toy that they are interested in. So, consider making a visit at some point. Thanks for watching. Mark

Thanks Gary. I’m glad you’re enjoying the series. I also definitely want to hear about things that can make the series better. I obviously wasn’t clear enough about the set up of the game in webisode two. I want to improve all aspects of the series. Heck, I’m even going to whiten my teeth. Y

You have touched on another thing I have thought about and that’s suggestions for what people would like to see featured from the Toy Room. A “Campus Cuties” segment certainly would be short. I thought my segments would be shorter than they’ve turned out but each of them has been running about five minutes. In general, do you think this is too long?

I know they have a feature now that shows the total amount of minutes that a video is watched. Because mine are pretty long, I’ve had some higher counts. Of course I know there are people that click off the video after about five seconds sometimes. I’m fascinated by the analytics you can run to see what countries are watching your videos. I thought TR 05 was going to be really big in South Korea after it got about 30 views in one day there.

At the beginning of the game, each player would put a short metal pin into the hole of their choice while the other players weren't looking. In that way, each player knew one hole that would trigger the witch doctor but not the holes that the other players set up. Holes where a short metal pin was not inserted would of course not trigger the witch doctor.

But who knows what went on there on that particular day because no one watched again in South Korea after that particular day.
