Thank you for the useful video, I have a question, can I use this with room air cooler to save electricity . its power is 300 watts on 220 Volt AC current.

You can check the relay.. if the relay can switch 2 Amps and 220V or more, you are good. it should be printed on it. if it says less, you can use this small relay to switch a bigger stronger relay that can switch more power.

I'm tryin to program my thermostat to heat up an aluminum block. settings 77.5. P0-H, P1 - 0.1, P2 - 89, P3 - -50, P4 - 0, P5 - 0, P6 - doesn't give me options. HOWEVER when the temp hits 50 the Thermostat turns off. The LED shows ( - - - ) What is going on?

Hi Joshua, i don't think you have the W1209 ..that one only has 1 setting.

I am using two of these - one on a mid. eff. furnace vent and one on a standard vent hot water tank to switch on a motorized fresh air intake damper for combustion air in the basement. Have them wired in parallel so either of them will open the damper when at least one appliance is burning. In the instruction data sheet it states the static current draw is 35 mA and max draw 65 mA. So old 12V DC charger of 150 mA does run both of these. I think I bought these some time ago out of curiosity for about cad$10 combined. If I would use a mechanical thermo disks, if I could find suitable temperature parameter ones, they would be about cad$25 each. Considering a 60,000 BTU furnace will suck almost 4 cu yard of air in 10 min run, it helps to have fresh air coming in, but only as needed.

Do I have to worry about the amps or not really? Do I just need a 12v adapter? Does it need to be DC or AC? I have one myself but I am a little hesitant on hooking it up because I ruined one already. Thank you for this video

Hello Aaron, The board itself needs 12V ... the isolated relay contact can switch Max. 5A at 240 VAC or Max. 10A at 24 DC. Maybe this helps: www.kelco.rs/katalog/images/17670.pdf a manual i found some were.

@@TonyAlbus perfect that answers most of my questions. I just have one more question. Will a 12vdc 1amp be okay to use or should the amps be a little higher. If you believe I need a higher amp. What would you recommend. I do apologize.My question might have been answered somewhere but I’m not very good with good with this stuff. I’m still learning.

Hello Aaron, i think 1 Amps is okey, the relay will only use 1 or 200 mA bit more or less, 1 Amp should be fine for just the controller, good luck with your project

Hey tony, ik heb hem gebruikt voor een incubator te maken. Ik had er twee besteld maar de relais bleven precies hangen. Het ging ongeveer twee dagen goed. Dan kwam ik thuis en was incubator afgekoeld tot 20 graden. Als er een tikje opgaf schoot hij terug in gang.De ene keer werkte hij, de andere keer niet. In mijn ogen waren deze dus alles behalve betrouwbaar. Grtj
