Good job. I have the downstream sensor to replace but wanted to see how to do the upstream sensor. Prices for upstream are higher than the downstream, almost double from stores. you got yours from Ebay about the same price as downstream in stores. FYI THANK you for showing us how.

I had same problem with my 06 Honda Accord however I found using 7/8 wrench is a lot easier than the oxygen sensor tool just need pull back the cover around exhaust

Just wanted to let you know that your not supposed to even touch the end of that sensor, because they're so extremely sensitive.

I don't know what it is. But my guess is that it is the PO1157 code. PO1157 is the oxygen sensor code that ED is working on in this video.

Did you install an OEM sensor or aftermarket and did this work permanently solve the 1157 code?

I never replaced the upper O2, after a week it never coded again, after reading the downstream. Sometimes it may take time to adjust to new sensor.

Hey Edgar, Thanks for the this great video. Your Honda Accord is a V6 or a 2.4lt? I own a 2.4L and I was wondering if is the same O2 sensor that I need to buy at Ebay. Thank you.

i checked my codes the other day and it showed P0141, which is the downstream O2 in the Cat. I replaced it no codes. Couple hours go by Engine Light Back ON! Check code, this time P1157!!! Why didn't BOTH codes come up at same time if both bad!? Watched your video, look lots easier than the Downstream O2 so now that will be done! If i get a code saying the Cat is bad after that-i am going to shoot my car! Thanks for the vid! By the way my shops charge about $170 for this sensor!! So i will be looking at Ebay or if you know where you got your OE part-email me!? Please.

i have a 2004 accord, need same sensor as you - 234-9040. $70-80 is not cheap because the part stores want $103-144 where i live. I know going on line i have seen $45 from some part mfgrs. But if you look at the reviews, they are varied..Honda is very picky about some of its electrical components and they charge a fortune if you buy from them. But i have seen reviews from the buyers from online part makers who say the O2 they bought for $30-70, failed after a month, or even sooner. I am thinking of one for $45 from one seller but one review was negative-like i said Honda is picky on after market. Denso parts, which are in Autozone, O'Reillys stores are good. The downstream for my car cost $50! The upstream for Denso is $103+tax, $115! That is high because the downstream was bigger, harder to put in, etc. Anyway you got yours on Ebay, it looked new? I will look there before buying but i would think Ebay parts may be used or not as trust worthy. Could you let me know how long yours has been working, what brand it was? Thanks-great video by the way.
