21:33 as someone who doesn't really care about sports either, I ONLY find this interesting because Ryan said "Is he gonna call him dad on the court? That's gotta be weird in a professional setting" and I can attest. Not the NBA obviously, but at my job, one of my coworkers is the area director's son. And yes, it is weird to hear an adult coworker call another worker mom, let alone your boss. I imagine being on the same job level would be even weirder

I got hired to work at a family business straight out of college, except no one told me it was a family business. Weeks went by and I thought that this one guy had a really bad attitude towards the CEO, he had zero respect for her and talked to her so much more rudely than everyone else and it was just SO weird. I could not get a read on the situation for the life of me. And she always let it fly and acted like he was such a valuable employee with great ideas (spoiler: he was not). And then finally one day I heard him call her "Mom". They had different last names and he didn't seem very fond of her so it had never crossed my mind. Real WTF moment to have two people you've been working with for weeks not even mention they're mother and son.

So while I'm not particularly interested in the sports talk myself, I also don't think it's fair to hard ban sports talk or treat it like it's uniquely boring, and I generally don't think it's a good idea to try too hard to predict what your audience will or won't enjoy, when I'm more interested in seeing if you can entertain each other. So I'm all for Ryan and Steven making periodic attempts to interest Shane in various aspects of sports talk and if it sticks, it sticks - same as any other topic.

@jennifermorgan54005 ай бұрын
As soon as Ryan said he was obsessed with this Italian pop song I thought “oh it must be Sara Perche Ti Amo” and I got so excited when it was! I live in Italy and it’s my favorite song in Italian music (in fact I want it to be the First Dance song at my wedding one day). I think it would also be really popular in the US if more Americans discovered it so thank you Ryan.
@gretadecesare54135 ай бұрын
Sarà Perché Ti Amo was released in 1981 by the group I Ricchi E Poveri. You will hear it sung flash mob style by everyone when you go to Italy. Even during outdoor summer dance parties by those that weren’t even born when the song was released. Everyone sings it with gusto. It’s a sight to see.

I do know know the Sara perche ti amo song. It means "It's because I love you." It's a kinda old song, from Ricchi e Poveri in 1981. It can be a new cover by someone else tho. It's a Classic and Italian Classics get covered ad nauseum. I think I ever know a Spanish version.

The Equus Giganteus could possibly qualify as a cryptid since its existence is only theorized based off the discovery of a single tooth. Horses actually started out very small. The oldest ancestor, the Eohippus was the size of a dog or fox. I chose the Eohippus as the subject of a middle-school paper because I was instantly fascinated with the idea of a horse that was small enough to keep in an apartment. #RecoveringHorseGirl

Honestly I don't care for sports but Ryan and Steven talking about it is interesting so if you can translate it for non-sports people I think it would be a fun segment. I really love the www updates and what's coming. I also think the novelty of user-submitted questions might get old after a while so I think it would be more interesting if the hosts talked about what they want to talk about first and then bring one or two questions from the audience. Or do one week where they talk about what they want to talk and the other would be entirely user submitted questions or something.

I think every member of the pod watcher team should feel emboldened and validated to bring up topics of interest. Its a pod made by all 3 members; theres no reason on earth to populate it all with safe quirky, hipster topics just because its somehow "uncool" to talk sports in creative circles. Im not into sports but i did think it was objectively interesting to learn that not only does Lebron have a son but that theres no rule in basketball saying a father and son cant play on the same team. Its an unprecedented event, that's for sure
