lol I once stayed in “haunted” air bnb. They didn’t advertise it in the site, but when we got there it had signs everywhere about being the most haunted place in ___ and stories about how people have been assaulted by ghosts in the room we stayed. I’m a shaniac, nothing happened.

I'm so glad Ryan (and Steven earlier this year) got a diagnosis and is trying meds. How exciting! As a long time diagnosee of ADHD, my advice is meds will fix a lot, but not everything (especially what to focus on), so don't get discouraged by that. The internet and books are your friend. There are tons of great ADHD content creators and specialists who have written and created so much great advice. When you find a problem you're facing, shop around and try a bunch of different solutions to see what works for you.

Lasik was one of the best decisions I ever made. Life changing. Also they make you take Xanax because you are awake the whole time and watching them do it but you have to be absolutely still so you are kind of locked in.

Love you guys, been subscribed for years. Following you guys since Buzzfeed days. The whole paywall thing kind of sucked but I wasn't furious about it. I can understand why you guys did what you did but I can also understand why some viewers were upset. I'm glad you made it optional (smart move). The current setup is a good compromise. I know it's costly to make these videos and viewers often times don't understand what it takes to keep a channel running, to keep producing quality content. It isn't free! Money doesn't grow on trees. So I think you handled the aftermath well. That said... it's not that we hate Steven or dislike him. We just have no idea who he is. You say he's a producer etc okay yeah but we don't have a personal connection to him. And that's not his fault, it's production's! You guys just sprung him on us and expect us to know who these people are and accept them right away. We tune in because we have a connection to you 2. If you want us to share our time & energy with other team members (we are already busy & congested w/ enough people in our day to day lives), you have to help us know who they are, why we should care, what value they bring. We are not in your inner circle or on your creative team, so we don't know who anyone really is besides you 2. We might know Steven's role based on what you've told us but that doesn't tell us who he is. Just like we know your roles are Ghost hunters but there are tons of ghost hunters out there so why do we tune in to you 2? Because we feel like we know you! Like we're spending a part of our week with our friends, our bros. And more importantly, we want to know how Steven compliments you two... what is the purpose of his role being in a trio with you 2? Why does the dynamic change from just you 2 when ghost hunting to now you 3 when podcasting? Does he bring a fresh perspective different from either one of you? I kind of like that he drinks matcha, doesn't rave about popcorn, and seems a bit more intellectual, which is different from you guys... lean into it. E.g. If Ryan is the quirky lovable gullible one & Shane is the logical rational don't give a whoots arse about your feelings, who is Steven in this mix? Maybe read the 8 Characters of Comedy?... just trying to be helpful or constructive. I'd never want your channel to not be here lol. You guys are all amazing and deserve all the success in the world. Buzzfeed's loss. But I do hope you guys take our input with compassion and understanding. Was at sixflags frightnight close to closing. I heard a hi from the end point of the park, where they don't even have lights. Stood and had a conversation with the voice coming from the dark. Same sort of voice as the one in shanes shared video, I mocked it's voice

to be fair to ryan, as someone who works in a hotel and has been on the receiving end of the "you're never gonna believe this but there's [insert biohazard here] in the bathroom" conversation i don't think in any of those situations I thought the person telling me was the one who did it.

I think saying "i believe you are telling the truth" does kind of make it sound like you do believe their story is true, i believe you believe, is maybe condescending, but i think is needed for true accuracy and honesty. especially in an investigation style setting

on haunted homes/airbnbs: i always thought it would be fun for yall to do a show where you investigate two locations, one with a reported history of ghouls and one with absolutely none. yall arent allowed to know which is which (or lbr just ryan because i dont think shane would give a shit) and see if ryan and his ghost tools can sus out the real haunt. airbnb could be a good use for it since theyre typically not famous places with known history. it would be a fun way to highlight things like false positives, biases (which place "looks" more spooky), etc. im sure a lot of people have mentioned this same idea before, but i think it would be enjoyable for both of you for very different reasons lol.

i don’t know why i’m just now watching this video, but i really loved this chat. it made me feel better & more like before with y’all. i know you said you’re not making content that changes the world, which i understand what you mean by that, but your content does change lives for the better. i have chronic illnesses & a lot of my days are spent mourning and feeling pretty miserable, and you guys accompany so much of my time and genuinely change my entire mood for the better. i know so many people feel the same, and i don’t think you should discount that!

I have seen people who have been through Lasik surgery and I think Steven needs to stay at home right after and rest. Your eyes will hurt like crazy and you need to constantly put solutions into your eyes and take medication. You will not be in the mood to record the podcast.

You should all read Dog Songs by Mary Oliver. It is one of my very favorite books, after adopting my very first dog as an adult. 🐕 ❤ But it will make you cry. Also, Year of the Dog by Irma Knivilla. I have kept my prescription glasses that my dog chewed, her first week home as a puppy. I was upset then because they're so expensive, but I kept them and for awhile did not even understand why. I love Maggie, more than anyone, and I will be sad when she is no longer here. But I will always have those glasses, and other silly mementos.

This argument just went in circles. The point isn’t that they didn’t disclose the dog to you beforehand, it’s that they didn’t after. They play the video in their lobby, they’re aware of the evidence you collected. It’s not hard to connect the dots, they were able to confirm the person was there that night pretty easily. They absolutely sat on this knowledge and withheld it from you for their own benefit, and the fact this point doesn’t come up at all was excruciating

Love you guys! Hope you're all staying safe. Shane absolutely agree no way should you change your belief systems or fain like you believe if you don't. Regardless, even if they aren't seeing ghosts, for these people that's what their experience is or maybe they are lying. For the one's who honestly feel they encountered a ghost it impacts them emotionally very much so in the very least saying "that must have been scary" validates them but doesn't allude that you're saying they saw a ghost or you believe them. Whereas I believe you believe that might make someone who is experiencing an emotional reaction whatever it is that they can't feel that way or they're less intelligent or sane. Now definitely there are the liars but even if your brain went funny for a minute that would be a scary situation. But again don't feel you have to change your beliefs or fain belief

There is 2 moments where I think Shane was legit at least a little spooked. The first was Waverly Hills in the death tunnel where Shane and Ryan went to opposite sides and there was a weird hiss or growl by Shane and it definitely shocked him at least. The other is somewhere I can't remember but I remember they were walking in a dilapidated area (maybe a prison) and there was constant clear footsteps moving around behind them to where Shane paused for a good minute and waited. I would love to see Shane do a solo in these type of places.

Getting 2 kittens to fill the extreme void in our home from the loss of my sweet Ozzy was a HUGE mistake! Do not do it! Best to adopt 2 at separate ages for SO many reasons.

On weird things dogs eat: one of my childhood dogs LOVED fortune cookies. She would eat the cookie and leave the paper! She also chewed gum and spat it out when the flavor was gone lmao. (it was not sugar free and didn't have xylitol so no worries) Also, I am so glad someone else describes the churus as like a go-gurt! I always call them cat go-gurts and people look at me like I'm nuts. Glad Obi is doing better, hope he continues to do so!
