DIY-BRI, thanks. I believe this has something to do with switching both Fog & Headlights to LED. But, this worked for me and helps tremendously driving on some of these roads in Illinois (lots of Wildlife). Also a great place to rock bumper sticker "So sorry for following so closely in front of you!" I need a train-horn! Again, this did the trick, and thanks! 😊

My issue is similar but opposite. I put the LED lights. Low beams work fine high beams work fine but when I turn fog lights on, my high beams turn on with fog lights and my high beam dash icon is dim. Then I turn off fog light s and low beams come back in and I can operate low and high beams normal with full dash icon. So fog lights turn on my high beams. Is there a fix for this? 2008 F150 FX2

I have the same issue with my fog lights. He said something in the video about swapping or switching the polarity. Not sure what that is just yet.

This fix also fixes that. I had the same issue on my 2004. Now, the bright beams only come on when I set turn them on. Additionally, it doesn't matter if the fog lights are on.

Do you also have an F150? What year?

@@DIYBRY Yes I do, F-150 king ranch 2006. I put it a Heise Led Lights. Before that with HID it didn't happened. Before now when I put fog lights, even when high beams were on, the beams changed to low, and that was the normal behavior of the lighting system I think. Now, when fog lights get on, the beams turn to high inmediatly.

Same problem here. 2005 F150 Lariat. Replaced headlights and fog lights with LEDs. Now fog lights will work only with parking lights on. As soon as I switch to low beams the fog lights turn off and the high beams turn on. If I push the switch in to turn off the fog lights then the low beams work as they should. The steering column high beam switch works as it should. Wondering if this hack will fix this issue? I guess for a $7 relay at AutoZone I may give it a try.

@@georgeec3 Yes I am getting the same problems too. Did you find a fix? I wonder if we put a load resistor on the fog light bulb if that would help.

One of my cluster bulbs went out. I just found a replacement on Amazon. I don’t recall what brightness I purchased. It was really very easy to do, just takes a little time. I’d record a video, but I no longer have that truck.

The fuse box is likely different, but in theory, you would just need to locate the correct relay.

I got a new truck not long after. The engine had no guts to pull our toy hauler trailer, so I got a better truck. So I could not say for sure.

I saw comments here where they say that this can't be done, that they don't all turn on at the same time, but my 2014 Ford STX turned on all of them at the same time and a week ago they don't want to turn on the fog lights when I put the high beams on.

In newer models, things and be changed by using forscan. Kind of a way to get into the truck’s computer and change settings.

5.4 3v engines have very loud injectors! That ticking is normal and the bad noises are the clunking or pinging from the cams. SOOOO many shops have made a KILLING off of exhaust leaks or bad rollers being mistaken for worse!

​@@Powerstroke431right on ! The 5.4 IMO is a high mileage motor. I see tons of comments from guys that have over 300K and say it's still going strong. I'm at 180K myself and it's running great. Knock on wood 😆

The fog lights are not supposed to be on when the HIgh beams are on. You never drive with high beans in the fog

Fog lights can be used without there being fog you do know that right? It provides more food light at night without the need of using high beams.

The reason you can't turn both on is because it's dangerous. It makes it even brighter for oncoming traffic. So, basically what you have is someone who is blind traveling at 65mph head-on toward you. Not smart. Also, why would you need both on at the same time?
