Four Yamaha DX7s were used. The Yamaha DX7 was used in several songs in the 80s.

@@ankokunokayoubi Not exactly. The Sega Genesis used the Yamaha YM 2610. The DX7 used YM 21280 operator chip and YM 21290 envelope generator. In some of Sega’s arcade machines, they used a Yamaha YM-2151, which was also used in Capcom’s CPS-1 and used in Williams pinball machines prior to using DCS.
