Great vid bro! Awesome to see some sights while watching you drive the STi. And looks like your doing a pretty good job on staying off the temptation of boost. My buddy when he put a new block in his blob drove about how you are with the break in and as tempting as it was to go all out on the boost he held back for the most part. Once the break in is over you’ll be having a blast all over again 👍🏻

Thanks for watching btw, and break in is done I was just tryna get used to the power for now. Car drives a little bit differently but still it's pretty quick just tryna get more comfortable with the speed. And while I'd love to get on it, I know for reliability reasons i just shouldn't. I'm currently done with the break in period and by choice for the next 10k miles I'm doing oil changes in 1000 mile intervals. I know it's rather EARLY but I'm not taking any chances with this new build.

@@MrDjvas Smart man 👍🏻 Even once I get my STi retuned I’m not gonna get on it too much either. I daily a truck so even a mostly stock STi is fast enough for me haha no need to go crazy 💯

I was thinking on getting a 2004 Sti, just the analog feeling of it looks so thrilling to me. I’m coming from a 2014 Wrx that blew up on me and I’ve been wanting more. How has the 2004 been holding up for you? Would you recommend it? Or should I maybe look into a 2014 STI? Both are the same price about, I’m just stuck on what to look more into and get. Btw Love the videos keep up the good work!

The 04 sti is a very special car in my mind because it's raw. No aids of any kind just you a 6 speed gear box, dccd, and a steering wheel, and AWD. While the 2014 has a bit more nannies and luxurious etc. I choose the 04 because I wanted that classical front end, plus my neighbor in alaska had one when I was in elementary school and hearing his start up I just had to have one. Now that I do got one I aint selling it for nothing. BUT also the 04 can be a bit unruly to drive at times. No nannies meaning if you fuck up, YOU FUCK UP. If you do an exhaust it's gonna attract alot of attention( but that goes for all subarus), parts for an 04 can be a little harder to find just sayin BUT still plenty doable for now atleast. I also RARELY carry passengers so because of that I don't mind the lack of creature comforts. If you drive alot of passengers etc the 2014 will obviously be the better choice if you want them to be more comfortable. My current goals for the 04 sti now, either E85 flex fuel tune or bigger turbo, EWG plumbed through the downpipe( I HATE WASTEGATE FLUTTER), bigger top mount intercooler/ NOT FRONT MOUNT, I like the sleeper ish look ( still on stock one currently), new suspension ALL around, and rust repair/ paint job and the car will be set. I think If you get the 04 sti, you'll be happy you did and will find very few reasons as to why you shouldn't have gotten an older one. It's got more character in my opinion. Only thing I don't like is the gear ratios, cars a pain in the ass at times to drive in the city, but once you open her up though that quick 1-4 is kinda fun. Though going into 5th is an utter pain. BUT in my opinion get the 04 STI, go full send with it and go extreme, if its too " bare bones" there's no reason not to get something newer. If that's what you feel more comfortable with.

Nice video homie. I’m 16 with a budget of about 12k looking to buy my first car. What do you recommend?

I would say buy an 8k car have 2k CASH to fix it incase something goes wrong or it just in general needs work and then get an SCCA membership ( with your parents permission of course) and take scca track driving lessons with the remainder of the cash. I tell you this for the fact that one, you can go ahead and get that fast and furious stage out or atleast learn to appropriately manage such shenanigans in a more fitting environment. Instead of say on the street at 2am hoping nobody's walking their dog down this random "deserted" backroad only to get yourself hurt or worse someone else hurt. I've been there and done that. BUT In regards to choices I would say a 1999 subaru legacy gt. 5 speed manual more then enough to keep you happy. And a good car to learn on, awd manual cars are a bit more sensitive to clutch movements so if you mess up while shifting the car will let you know. As well as your passengers..... also a 2003 honda civic ex so you can get V-TECH very bare, minimalist interior that if driven properly is EXTREMELY fun. That was actually my first car NEVER HAD an issue till I blew the engine up cause it had no oil and I was racing on my way to my girls house after school. Regardless I had that car in Alaska with all season tires and no traction control etc and it was amazing. Never got stuck. Also infinity g35, 350z, older subaru impreza wrx or just impreza. I've driven ALL the cars which I've just listed and I honestly like the older regular impreza it's a no nonsense drama free car. That's good in the snow. Regardless of whatever csr you get just remember to RESPECT the power. The moment you stop doing that is the moment you risk an accident. And since your young these cars are pretty easy to work on yourself.

you can pass state troopers in my personal experience literally a week after this was uploaded at 11mph over 50. I ran into one by the edge of Albany on the kancamangus. They did nothing. You can safely go 4-5mph over. I wanted to hit the after i wakeup but it's prob gonna rain really sad can't do that
