Very nice demonstration of how to open it! I'm thinking that the mechanism is slightly different to the full-sized master locks where you have to "add 5" to the stuck point.

I have the same lock in blue but the shackle won’t open at the third number/gate. I’ve wasted five hours watching various videos and none of the stuff works. I’m almost sure of two of the three numbers and those are exactly the ones I get using all these techniques.

Nicely done Lock Noob :). I have one of these in blue. Once you get the feel for it, it's not that hard as you have noticed ;). There is actually a similar, but little different method to get the first number and the second one is the hardest to find. Not much resistance or protection, but this is well known ;)). I have also a chinese dial padlock, where you can't find the second number at all.

Thank you :-). I looked round KZbin for a while, but I didn't get on with most of the methods, especially the one where you find the first binding gate and 'take 5 off'. Don't know why, but it didn't work for me. You also don't see many people prove their method by doing a blind 'picking', so I'm always a bit suspect. This method was the one that just seemed to work the best after lots of experimenting

This is beginning to suck. Tried it so many times. The first number is binding the strongest between 3 points. The strongest one is not the one where you would add 5 but where you would add 2 instead to get the actual number.

Nice one mate, however you can shim the anti-shim padlock. You just need a slightly different technique to defeat the bear claw.

Hi, yes I saw a vid on this before I made this one with someone demonstrating how to do it with a strip of metal can. I might have a go myself, but I figured that I wouldn't be able to add to the technique or give a different spin on it

So am I correct in assuming that there are really only 64 combinations which need trying, all multiples of 5, before trying the last digit? A total of 512 possible positions, and less if you assume that all 3 numbers will not be the same? It's another lock which should be sold with a (lack of) security warning, rather than a security rating! Thanks.

@@LockNoob You can also do an "out of the packet opening" if you get a new one (and don't look at the code behind while opening) :D

Good question. The first number is found clockwise, the second, anti-clockwise and the third, clockwise again

I think all these dial video's are bs, because the part that has the false gates is the #3 wheel which is the third number in the combo and also the driving wheel. the dial needs to be set at the last gate before testing a depth position of the other wheels, any other position will get the same depth, within mfg tolerances.

@@LockNoob , I just decoded one, came without the comb. Just took off the back, decoded, and replaced it, would have been perfect but I started by trying to make a view hole that failed, but it's back in one piece, and works perfectly. Also, at least you did it blind!

@@georgeohwell7428 There was a video of a fella making a combo breaker for those locks. He gave everything to make one. He also has one taken apart to see the insides. I need to get back on that lock. I like spp on American Locks.

@@Claps1775 spin counter clock wise with heavy tension on the shackle. Feel it rub along each bump and you should feel it catch on a number. Check it is correct by passing the catch by a few numbers and go back to it. It should be gone until you do another full revolution ccw. Add 14 to that number you found CCW. That’s first digit.
