Security tutorial on how to determine the combination on a locked Master Lock brand combo lock.
Note: This may work on other brands as well I haven't personally tried.

I just cracked my third master combo lock using your method. It took 72 tries until it opened. Thank you for an excellent tutorial. The first two locks I opened using the shackle pull up method, but had no success on the last one until your video. Holy Crap, .. I found this old Master Lock in a box out in the garage. It has an initial scratched on the back which makes me think it belonged to my son 30 years ago. I'm tired of watching Netflix and Social Distancing, so I decided to see if I could open it simply as a puzzle. I tried every other video on YT for 6 hours, .. and then found this method. Got one of the numbers in the "List of 12" wrong the first time. And then, the second time I got to 16-36-36 and thought it's a waste of time to try that one because Master Lock wouldn't have a combination with the same two numbers in sequence, .. but as a matter of rigorous methodology, I tried it and BINGO. What a surprise! Just what I need another padlock. Thanx !

Holy crap I cant believe this actually worked for me, This am i spent hours watching videos that didnt work, but i was hitting the same 1st number by feel ( from the other videos) and figured it was 25-26. Well I cycled thought your list starting with 2s and went through 10, when i figured I'm going to try that 26 first being it was the one i thought was first... hot damn, first try 26-0-6 Awesome dude your a genius !

I tried 600 combinations. I couldn't tell if some of them were in the middle or between numbers when looking for them; so I used those "iffy" ones to determine the figuring. Still no results.

My combination ended up being the absolute last possible combination. fortunately After trying a couple in the beginning, I said let me do it in reverse order, I remember this combination had higher numbers. sure enough it was the Last combination in the list.

My first number is 1. If I divide 1 by 4 it's .25 ; now what ?

I'm still confused. When a number falls on a .5 (for instance, between 5.5 and 6.5), do i go with 6? Or do 5.5 ? He said something about always picking what was in the middle, yet, if you do that, then you don't get any .5's. :\ And what about when there's no .5, like between 9 and 10? Which of those two numbers do you pick? I might figure all this out before anyone replies, but, reply anyway just in case I haven't. LOL

+TabLeft Workshop, I agree this method is good if you have a lock in a drawer that you have forgotten the combo for however if the lock Is on a chest or something, I feel it would just be easier to cut it.

+Aaron Anderson it would absolutely be easier. If you goal is simply to bypass a lock in the fastest way possible then you're probably right. That's not what this video is about.

JF lol that way might faster if you’ve done it a ton of times and know exactly what it feels like and the exact amount of tension to apply, and even then it still took several minutes. The way I demonstrate works every time for anyone. Use which ever method you want but for someone doing this for their first time and or very seldom I would bet people have more success with the method I describe than the alternative.

The linked method takes maybe 3 minutes for a beginner. I can do it in under 90 secs. To my point though, regardless of a beginner's speed, your technique is simply idiotic. Particularly when you take the time to write down 7-9 numbers that you then immediately discard. All of which to find the third number, which is ridiculously stupid, since that's the only number you needn't bother to find anyway. Then you essentially brute force the first and second number, disregarding that there's only 12 gates on this lock. Your technique is stupid as hell.
