Love it! Would some mold release spray have helped?
@WendigovanStudio5 ай бұрын
@@heidih.2465 Thanks and thanks for watching. No, I don't think it would have helped. The main problem I found was that the supports to help prevent it from sagging in where a little chunky, so made it hard to squish the mould in on itself to remove it from the internal sections. Thanks for the suggestion though. x

@WendigovanStudio6 ай бұрын
Thank you! You too! Don’t forget to place something along the straight edge on the base of the main mold so you don’t get a wonky base. Also yes, I know the feeling about many others to try lol. x

@WendigovanStudio I will do thanks for the tip much appreciated. Haha, I went on a temu rampage last year and got so many, and some have been done too many times. But hey, they are great to start out with and put our twists on them.. look forward to your next upload x

Spray alcohol in the mold before demolding. It will loosen every area.

I have the bath mold 😂😂😂😂 ... took 10 minutes to get out. However, even if not fully cured, that is the moment to remove from the mold. Resin goes back to form. Why are you working in a place that is so cold? I had not seen this mold before. 😊
@WendigovanStudio6 ай бұрын
Wow was thinking about getting that mold. Might give it a miss now lol. Yes I do try demolding when it’s still a little soft however not always easy for me to get back into my studio in time to do so. It’s basically an old shed which we rebuilt during lockdown and as I’m disabled, getting outside to get there can be a little difficult. That’s also why it’s often cold this time of year. My little heater takes a while to warm up the space. But it’s my little getaway from the house place lol. Can you tell I don’t get out much pmsl 🤪 x

Spray some alcohol on the insides, that helps to loosen the grip.

Thanks for watching. I did for the drawers but for some reason my brain thought it would be funnier if I just struggled lol. Will for sure be using it for the shelf unit in future too x

Hello my lovely. I love this pot!! I know how you feel with trying to demold with painful hands!! I have Fibromyalgia and run my channel 'HomemadeMiraclesUK' doing crafting, mainly resin. It's mental trying to unmold some of those things we torture ourselves doing 😂. Xxx

Did you make your pigment paste? It looks odd. You can spray soapy water 🧼 into your molds after they are cured, and they will un-mold much easier. Craziest mold 🤪 I have ever seen. You can't even use the top drawer and not much will fit in the other drawer.
@WendigovanStudio5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. No the pigment was a prepaid 1 which I got some time ago. It might look a little odd due to it being a chameleon pigment. I think I needed to add more than I did to get the true effect. I keep forgetting to bring a bottle of soapy water out to the studio, but it will be on my list. Yes the mold is crazy but I think it’s more as a display piece rather than a fully functional unit. x
