Additional information courtesy of my viewers 1. Hairmuffs misc item which is found in Yulgar's Memorial Shop (same place as Imanok Edoc Spell) gives you 4 MRM and attempts to inflict Berserk status on the monster, increasing their damage but lowering their bth by a whopping 25. Also it uses INT for rolls which not many monsters have INT 2. Ebilcorp Logo misc item is also fantastic here if you have it but it's a perma rare. Same Berserk status on monster but without the need for a roll and it's -29 bth 3. Prime Chaos Orb misc item which is found in the Ultra Rare GGB Shop while not needed to play the dodge build can help to greatly increase your damage output while playing this build. You can not only scramble the enemy's elemental resists but you also have a chance to increase the lean of you and the monster by 0.1 per successful attempt

Not a blocking build expert, but have played with it. First, bun-barret is better than pig drake due to stacking on celerity. Gauranteed MRM increase for 1 turn that's higher than pig drakes 2 turns and worse celerity stacking wins out. Clever disguise makes even blocking using a pure build outstanding. It's not just for BM's. However, bun barret performs best with charisma so having charisma over luck actually is better for blocking for this reason. In addition, you can stack enough blind and MRM buffs such that having luck instead of Dex to ensure going first and MUCH better blind infliction is actually VERY doable and still not get hit. I been testing this the last week. It's better than you think. Blocking can be accomplishe w/o dex. Entangle is highly underrated. It tends to increase based on resistance, so PCO and you will negate monster dex most turns. You left out a few options-Shields-Eclipse shield. This also glitches with absolute darkness to create 2 turns for crazy blinds. -200, 300, 400..etc blind. Then you need to increase the turns with another blind stack. Pets- Cephalapod- Water pet from a TLAPD quest. Blind scales with water resistance. 27 w/ 100%, 35 / 130%, etc AND it's doing damage unlike bun-barret/Pig drake, but has chance to fail and may be weaker vs low resist mobs. So have both. Also silk-screamer pet/guest have entangle modes. These specific pets/guests infliction do not have a turn. They last until a save, and stack indefinetely. Equipping items to create a more difficult save is helpful. It likely is capped well below (500?) but using both, I have gotten over 1000 entangle. Spells- Mandate- Up to 6 turns is nice, and greater blind the higher the earth resist. PCO to earth and on a celerity turn and equipping other forms of MRM/blind/blocking even a 0 dex build you wont be hit hardly ever. And if you do, it also stacks choke to mitigate the damage in the event you decide to use titan's fall shield.

Yea alot of people have been mentioning bun banneret with celerity but you don't really use celerity with dodge build that much unfortunately. Having luk is better than dex? Interesting! I mean, dex is more used than luk as a whole since it's also used for accuracy purposes though of course, those with quadforce can choose to go without it. There's many variations of dodge you can do I guess and that's really the beauty of it, it doesn't matter that much what your current build is. Haven't tried with entangle so I have no idea. Ah right, I forgot Eclipse shield. Wait, glitch? What do you mean? Wtf can't believe I forgot cephalapod when I'm actually actively using it🤣 Not sure how I feel about the mandate spell since it's 2-in-1, it's bound to be weaker and you don't really care much about the elemental shield as a dodge build. I feel like the turn could be better spent casting something like panoply instead

@@KorribanGaming 1. Luck isnt better than Dex for dodge. Not even close. I am saying there are so many items now for dodging that dex isnt necessary to play dodge anymore. You can dodge just fine using items. Ive been testing in the past week. Luck's advantage is going first to set up dodge, and blind infliction stat roll help. 2. Absolute darkness (turn 1) and eclipse shield (turn 2) (best on celerity) usually end up 2 rounds @ 300 blind, or higher. Turn 3 you need a blind with more rounds, which then turns it to maybe 130 blind for more rounds) 3.Mandate scales versus earth resistance. 200% earth = 100+ blind on 2 turns (celerity) for max 6 rounds. Not everyone has big dictionary. 4. roots of daw scale vs earth resistance TOO, and you can NEGATE a monster's dex . 300, 400, 500 entangle with this vs higher earth resist is easily done. This in combo with Mandate essentially will get you an effective 100+ extra blocking. Throw in bun-barrets and on celerity they give 89? You can push an effective approx 200 to blocking. This is why Dex no longer is necessary, especially in shadow raiment or ghost costume.

@@bradysimmons84 Ah I see. Yep, I did mention at the start that dodge build doesn't really require any stats to play. There are recommended ones like dex but it's not a must-have I tried that out. Holy crap you're right. It is possibly a bug/glitch like you mentioned. I got -35k blind Fair point about not everyone having big dictionary. Alchemical unity and/or rat grenades can be used as substitutes. Mandate would require PCO against monsters with low earth resist which is also something that not everyone may have since it's a UR Haven't tried out root of daw but will soon. MRM and blinds are capped at 150 each. You need both to guarantee the monster misses but usually one is good enough

Ok i just removed my earlier comment cos ive found out how to run a dodge build using mostly F2P equipment on a warrior. My MRM went up to 140ish, tested it on mighty shadow gogg house guard (because he hits hard) and he did 4k damage to himself just after attacking me only once, all from the titan's fall shield return damage. Thanks for making this video!

Hey Jia, which of these guests do you think is better? Is there a noticeable difference between Bun-Banneret and Paladin Apprentice? What about Pig Drake vs Bun-Banneret pet? I am a Warrior with 250 STR / DEX / LUK so zero CHA but I have managed to successfully use a full Dodgelash strategy on several bosses already. I would also like to add Frag Rat Grenades and the wind variant, the first to inflict a Bleed that adds to the Harm Dodgelash damage from Titan’s Fall, and the wind variant (Gas Rat) that can inflict a Choke. Although I am not sure if the Choke would kind of go against the point of the Dodge build altogether, because the key is to make the enemy do those big nukes on you and you dodging them then reflecting as much as damage as possible using Titan’s Fall. This makes things slightly more complicated, but I think one way this could be taken further is Moonwalker’s Grace, the Level 150 version which adds 84 DEX for 3 turns per cast. Although this might make it too mana consuming. As a Warrior, I’ve been trying a lower Level (115) version of it that gives 57 DEX for 3 turns per cast, with Celtic Shield and Warlic’s Oblivion Sphere for the MP. And finally I want to point out that sometimes a guest isn’t even necessary. I find that Pig Drake + reusing Wall Nuts every turn works on a lot of bosses already.
@KorribanGaming
@KorribanGaming 2 жыл бұрын
Bun-banneret guest would be better than paladin apprentice guest. Pig drake pet better for stacking as compared to bun banneret. To be honest, there's no noticeable difference so really just use whatever you have Yup, possible to play dodge without cha but it's a lot better with cha (and int if running big dictionary) Choke does go against the point of a dodge build. The amount reflected from titan's fall is based on number of hits, not how much damage the enemy does The amount of dex you get from moonwalker is insignificant so you can skip that This is true but wall nuts every turn is very expensive

I HAVE THE ULTIMATE DODGE BUILD GUIDE So I very avidly play a Rouge character which is the only reason I have a heavy focus on dodging unlike the recent trendiness of the build in addition to doing my absolute best to deal as much damage given the underpowered-ness of my armors compared to current warrior and mage armors. Originally I went the stereotypical ranger type build with less than 100% proc ranged weapons. However I didn't like the aesthetic of using this big halberd/spear/javelins nor the concept of a skillful, agile, and stealthy rogue/ninja/assassin with a ton of STR like he's gonna pick up a house. Eventually I decided to convert my STR into INT which I thought better fit my role-playing experience since I view INT as cunning as well as access to an extra source of power to preform skills/jutsus (MP). This also let me have access to magic weapons that come in all shapes and sizes that I could (as best as I could) pick the ones with the effects and aesthetic that I was trying to achieve. When I switched to INT I WAS more going down the route of: 1. Using the Prime Chaos Orb (misc) to eventually switch my opponent's elemental resistances to be weakest to darkness 2. Using the Absolute Darkness spell to make my opponent blind with approximately -85BtH 3. Using the Rose-in-Full-Bloom (pet) to inflict Berserk of approximately -20BtH 4. Using the Roots of DAW (misc) to inflict Temporary Entanglement of approximately -216 to DEX = -27BtH or other misc that would just boost my MRM 5. Use a combination of spells like "Moonwalker's Grace", "Imanok Edoc", and the Big Dictionary's (staff) "Panoply", to boost MRM; usually incombination with Purple Rain (spell) and/or the Father Time/Doray shields to preserve MP and attempts to maximize status infliction. This whole set up takes about 8 turns for the blind and a few turns to maximize the MRM and DEX buffs which is all assuming that the mob doesn't resist status infliction multiple times. Up side to this is, essentially when everything is said and done, unless mob is designed to always hit, they will always miss. Additionally, occasionally and usually for weaker mobs, I'd run a combo of Alchemical Unity + Chaser Bracer (rare) + Brilliance of DAW with stacked celerity to stack admittedly very high (100+ minus to BtH) blind. But that's a gradual build and I dont remember why, but there was a reason I stopped doing it so much. With the introduction of the Bun-banneret guest and pet. I switched my DEX and LUK to CHA (205 DEX, 250 CHA, 45 LUK). Bannerets stack best with each other in my experience and give me +39.37 MRM with no buffs to CHA and +78.74 MRM with celerity (also no buff to CHA). This more than makes up for what I lost in MRM via the stats. This allows me to wear the unaligned UltraGuardian shield without consequence even though it doesn't provide as much MRM as my other shields, it helps with maintaining my SP for the guest, miscs, and nukes. As well as I also switch between the SP guest and MP guest to also reduce SP drain burden. With 250 INT, I have plenty of MP for the MP version of the guest as well as I frequent weapons and items that regen MP. Currently (with the intro to the Nightfall raiment armor) my routine is (these are steps, NOT TURNS): 1. Get whispering raiment (class armor) + stalking paw (weapon) + lucretia ambush potion = ensure i still go first (which is extremely underrated) 2. Shadowfall raiment (armor) + father of time/doray (shields) + famine rapier (weapon) + shadowfeeder pendant (misc) 3. Get about 3 celereity (or as much as you deem appropriate) with shadowfeeder 4. Activate "dusk stance" and "shadow focus" (skills) 5. Cast moonwalker's grace (spell) once for accuracy 6. Equip sunburst amulet (misc) and activate famine rapier weapon special 7. Cast rest of Moonwalker's grace 8. Activate zfinity Gauntlet of power (misc) "crushing power" 9. Use primechaos orb (misc) to get opponent's weakest elemental resistance to darkness 10. Equip hairmuffs (misc) (if possible) and cast absolute darkness (spell) 11. Activate shield to reset HP, MP, and SP, switch to ultra guardian shield 12. Spam "shadow focus" armor skill [Guests give you +78.74 MRM] + [Hairmuffs gives enemy -25.3 BtH which] + [dusk stance gives you +12 MRM and enemy -12 BtH, or simply +24 MRM] + [absolute darkness gives enemy approximately -7 BtH]. Not only do you have +135.04 MRM on top of your armor, shield, and DEX & LUK. But you're also doing crazy damage every turn with SP constantly returning to continue nukes, power gauntlet to make nukes do even more damage, and more celerity especially if you have a decent weapon to regen SP and/or MP. Your welcome.

8 turns to setup sounds like a very long time when I can do it in 1-2 turns. PCO doesn't always give you what you want so there's some RNG in that and while you're spamming that before you get your setup proper, there's a huge risk of dying. Also, getting to that high of a blind using Absolute Dakrness alone is going to take a long time too. Banneret pet loses out to pig drake in lengthier battles but I guess that's a decent substitute for those who can't afford a rare ggb. I don't think I necessarily agree since your opponent has a relatively high chance of resisting the nerf if they're of the same level compared to buffs that will auto hit everytime

@@KorribanGaming i have pig Drake, with testing, it doesn't stack as well as bannerets. Additionally, these aren't turns, nearly steps listed out for easier read. @20starcombomaker 3 жыл бұрын
@@KorribanGaming yes PCO might take a few turns, however also realize that it is changing the lean of you and your opponent making both of you do and take more damage at the same time. Therefore, getting your opponent's weakest element resist to the ideal element isn't completely necessary, the only reason why I mention it is because: 1. I use the infinitia staff (a darkness weapon that regens both SP or MP) 2. Absolute darkness benefits the most: would have a high blind, inflicts elemental vulnerability to darkness AND grants elemental empowerment with darkness which stacks with the elemental vulnerability the nightfall armor grants and the elemental vulnerability from the power gauntlet 3. The "shadow focus" armor skill is darkness locked, and therefore would benefit the most from all the stuff mentioned in point 2. All in all, all of that (both PCO and absolute darkness) is completely unnecessary specifically to dodging, I do that for damage. As I said in the bottom of the initial message I DO NOT stack absolute darkness anymore please read the bottom of the initial post (you might need to reload it). Virtually of my MRM comes from the guest, pet, and misc which only truely takes 1 turn.

The games getting an little bit dumb as far as the blocking goes. There's an sp and mp version of konami spell. There's no rule against being able to use both versions at the same time. Plus, both versions can be bought for free, in the memorial shop. There are also free faces that you can pick up there. I thought that konami spell originally cost z-tokens? Dunno. Get while the getting's still good and take advantage of the situation? Now I too have the exact same build. Picked up konami spell, both versions for both characters. My character is now close to unhittable, no matter what equipment that I choose to bring in the game. It takes an little bit more setup, and pco, which I have for both my characters, and the new dodge build is almost as cheap as using book of burns. Much more entertaining to watch, because the enemy is hitting itself every time it misses you. LOL. 😆

@KorribanGaming 3 жыл бұрын
The spell doesn't stack, you can't use both at the same time
@20starcombomaker
@20starcombomaker 3 жыл бұрын
@Joseph Williams I find blocking to be extremely balanced. 1. Imanok edoc doesn't stack with itself MP or SP versions or cross, the only way to utilize any form of stack is to use it before any other MRM buff. After casting it, you won't be able to cast until your buff runs out regardless of where it comes from. 2. It takes a lot of due diligence to properly make a even remotely usable build. Which just means that if you do the research and the math, your hard work is actually rewarded. Which should be the case. 3. These builds are really effective with bosses but are annoying with weaker mobs because of the set up required to actually do stuff. So you find yourself wasting a lot of time just to ensure you dont die against weaker enemies where as a normal build can just power through them. 4. It can have a very large burden on resources (MP and SP) and it is not something that one can maintain forever. Therefore it is necessary to not only be able to set up quickly, but not take too long to finish your foe, which is extra difficult because equipment is dedicated explicitly to help you dodge so you don't die, therefore more often than not you have sacrificed a good bit of offense for such a strong defense. 5. Alot of the build usually is dependent on inflicts and RNG, therefore even when setting up perfectly, there is always the potential that all that becoming irrelevant due to one unlucky hit and starting all over which as explained before, takes more time to get through the weaker enemies to the boss.

@@20starcombomaker I thought that for a while, that i might have been able to glitch konami spelled backwards to stack on itself, and make myself invincible with very little setup. I got ghost costume, and that's one of the most important parts of this setup because of the high mrm. And your absolutely right, with defensive builds, it's real hard to make them offensive, if you don't know what your doing before your resourses run out. I never played around much with the dodge slash build that he created. I mostly cheese things with book of burns, which requires far less setup. I'm lazy that way.
@20starcombomaker
@20starcombomaker 3 жыл бұрын
@@josephwilliams9208 virtually any build can cheese book of Burns as long as they have the minimum required MP to cast a spell and enough charges to regen that MP and keep casting. I personally don't use ghost costume anymore because of how weak it is, if I did bring it back in, it'd really be to help me set up a permanent blind of -85 BtH which I dont even do anymore. As I was telling Korriban, the best thing about a properly made dodge build, is that you can use whatever armor you want, since you're usually so squishy that you'd be nigh one shot anyway. And since you're dodging, you're not taking any damage from attack either. Therefore I find it extremely fun to play such an unorthodox playstyle that isn't 100% covered on all of the 8 elements and fights more like an NPC who doesn't get to just perfectly adapt to defend against an enemy's greatest strength and capitalize on their greatest weakness. In a sense, that seems way more unfair than the dodge build. Instead I'm using my great strategic ability and skills to overcome my obstacles. Also why do you keep saying "konami"?
@josephwilliams9208
@josephwilliams9208 3 жыл бұрын
@@20starcombomaker konami spelled backwards means imanok, and is one and the same word besides that. It means the same thing. It's a backwards reference to konami, which used hidden cheat codes to cheese the level, and even cheese the game itself. Why it's in the memorial shop, is because I think the main founder of Nintendo died, and also referred himself as an gamer in his own heart. Some of the most game breaking spells and equip is in that shop,(the inn).
