This one is Robert Dorning, Father of Stacey Dorning, Black Beauty's owner a few years later. He also starred opposite Arthur Lowe in the second series of "Pardon the Expression", the spin off from Coronation Street featuring Leonard Swindley. The seco d series is the better and very funny. After that they made another spin off where the two of them were paranormal investigators, but nothing remains of that series.

I keep coming back this episode as Coronation Street celebrates it 60th anniversary and i must say that landlord was a rather tight git, Can't even afford to get someone to come out to repair Albert guttering. Len should have bought the house himself and rebuild it and rent it out to someone who needs it most.

Does anyone else think the landlord's name is pretty ironic considering his position. Wormhole is a name that wouldn't engender a good feeling when considering a home. Not only because of wood worms, but just the word Association with landlord and worm. It seems other tv programs have used similar names for men involved in selling homes. I think it was a Doctors series I don't know which series where Duncan, Collier & Dick were looking into buying a house. They accidentally bid against eachother raising the price but eventually sell it to a couple for a profit or at least that was their plan. Anyway the man who they were dealing with had some silly name...

I suppose his immediate thought was Lucille ( his best friend’s daughter) could be in there. From a professional standpoint, he was wrong, but sometimes people act without thinking.
