I’m the owner of UVM Virgil and though he has gone to the Rainbow Bridge he was the answer to my dreams of owning a UVM Morgan. I started visiting the farm when Dr. Balch was director. I was determined to have one in my life. And it happened. Virgil was my heart horse and the horse of a lifetime. He was such a pleasure to be around because his manners were impeccable. Easy to ride, we used a bitless bridle and he would tackle anything. He was curious and had a real sense of humor. He used to grab a stick and chase other horses in the pasture. They would scatter in horror. As we moved all over the US , he always moved with us as a member of the family. He died in my arms at 24 of severe twisted intestines and he is buried at my mother’s former home in Vermont. I will miss him for the rest of my life

Their not to many good Studs within the breed . They seem more interested in breeding for Dressage instead of All around or the lippitt side of the Breed
