that ziplock bag trick is a very good idea, especially if your working on computer fans with them clips holding in the bearings and stuff. B)

Nice video! Did you put the spring back in? And if you did, what would the purpose of putting the spring back? Can you do a video reviewing your clutch after you did this mod?

Paul Ocampo yea, plan on installing new slave cylinder this weekend. So I will do a video, also I believe the spring helps to prevent the black cap from sinking into the chamber as well as preventing the check valve from being pressed against the black cap. Technically with no check valve in it now, the spring does seem pointless, but as it will not hurt anything, I just placed it back in.

The C Clip has to go back in?

bro i suuuper appreciate the helpful video but all im saying is if your scared of the car getting "stuck" in gear you need to learn more about a manual trans and how to rev match cause itll come out of gear just fine with noooo clutch at all i once ended up 2 hours from home and discovered air in my clutch line i basically had no clutch drove the whole way home rev matching in and out of gears luckily took my test drive in the middle of the night so i managed to never stop after the initial starter push off

I rev match all the time. But between the master cylinders design and slave, during spirited driving you want the clutch to engage more effectively not slowly engage, the trade off is burning up the clutch if your ride the clutch a lot. But I don't and I rev match, so now I have snapper shifts and more mechanical feel with my car. However, I 100% agree with your statement above, but I was never worried about it getting stuck in a gear

You wouldnt need this if you are a good driver.

Sorry bud didnt have a go pro or camera mount at the time, so I could record while doing it. But you start by scraping an area above the end of the C clip, about a 1/4 inch. Then try to can a tip of the knife or blade in behind the end of the c clip, to pry out. The C clip will fly off so I recommend doing it in a lil zip lock bag, and with the clip out you can use the needle nose to pull the cap out and internals. Good luck and again sorry

I finally got the clip off. Although my valve looks nothing like that. I have an 06 TL. This is easiest done on a brand new slave. Not one with corrosion on that clip

@@TheShangralaaaa17 I would agree, the valve comes in various shapes but once you remove it the clutch with engage much faster allowing you more control. Just keep ing mind it will be up to you to not cause additional clutch wear
