At the video counter 4:52, those nylon pieces aren't stoppers for the slave cylinders movement. It is a retaining clip. You push the cylinder all the way down until they snap together. What this does is holds the plunger down until you install it. Because once you hook up the hoses you won't be able to push that plunger down by hand to slip behind the fork. So you would push the plunger down snapping the nylon pieces together, install it, and once you start bleeding the clips will disengage which makes for easy install.

I appreciate the tips shown in your video, thanks. At the end here you mentioned K-Tuned regarding their clutch master that doesn't have the flat triangle diaphragm. My understanding is that they only sell parts for 4cyl ("K-series ...") Those owners can also buy a slave from them that doesn't have the check valve inside. If any of those relevant 4cyl parts fit our V6's that would be great but I haven't seen them cross-referenced like that.

Going to do this after I replace front lower control arms. Thx for the video. As I understand, the area you describe putting grease on quiets the "chirp" and hi temp Honda urea is supposedly the eternal fix.

that looks like a horrendous location to bleed out the slave cylinder as well. Look'n good by the way. B)

Zarcondeegrissom yes it was a pain, could only turn the wrench a 1/4 way each time. More time consuming then it is hard to do..

I have a 2011 TL with the fluid control valve. It is not as engaging as other clutches I've driven before... You almost have to guess where engagement is
@SerpentXTech5 жыл бұрын
Lol I agree, since I have removed check valve it engages at the same spot every time. To prevent faster clutch ware, you do have to get used to it but I personally like it for quick shifts, and off the line
