Some of George's best vocals occur when he sings this song. It allows him to reach the most deep, soulful parts of his range, and it's incredible. What an amazing song for such an amazing vocalist! The best version is the one he put onto the Five Live CD, but this is very close. (Oh, and the backup singer (Lynn Mabry?) singing her ass off doesn't hurt, either!)

When one knows the story behind this concert then one believes in destiny. GM told at the right of the crowd he saw a cool guy. He said he could not go to that part of the scenario because that guy distracted him so much. That man finally meet GM the day after. He was Anselmo, the great love of GM. He died few years later. The song Jesus to a Child was written to Anselmo when he died, the whole album "Older" was composed by GM thinking about Anselmo.
