I don't understand how magazines like "Rolling Stone" in it's "100 Greatest Singers" didn't include George Michael. This guy is a complete singing beast. Comparison is sometimes annoying, however, his voice control, his range, the whole performance ... absolutely amazing! Over many singers that are included in that ranking.

The main reason why he wasn’t included is mainly because he always used a lot of echo and that’s considered a bit like cheating, but other singers have always done the same and did get included, but without it he probably wouldn’t sound so fine, if you listen to the great singers of the past century, Sinatra, Nat king Cole, Elvis, Julio Iglesias, they all had that extra thing, but of course GM should have been somewhere in there as well imo

P.C. H. He did many performances such as Apollo theater, Freddy tribute, Many performances with Elton’s charity etc. where is voice was pure. The freedom (wham’s) in cover to cover was just him and guitar. It’s pure jealousy because he has good looks and talent. Many of the artists sound bad even with all that. They can’t keep a note. All they will do is use unnecessary run offs, ooh,s and aah’s to cover up their lack of talent.

I'm 65 years old and I have only felt this deep feeling for only 2 singers in my whole life. In the early 70's was Mac Davis and the 80's and onward has been George Michael. He has got THE BEST voice I have ever heard. I could listen to GM 24/7 and never tire of his voice.

Today's "singers" couldn't come anywhere near his level on their very best day performing live. And this is rehearsal. He was/is music. Musically, he was a god. He was so humble and respectful. It must have been been such an honor - and fun - for world class musicians and singers to work with him. His backup singers had been with him for years. One of them said in an interview that no matter where they were or what they were doing, when GM called, they dropped everything ... "it's George!!"
