Sir, i like your thinking a lot. only this video is different. You seem quite nostalgic about your career in forces. I believe, this kind of brotherhood is created in forces all over the world by design. when few persons have to fight in battles, wars they have to create brotherhood and fraternity among them. That is the job requirement. It is garnered in all forces, even American soldier sheds his blood 3000 miles away from home in Iraq. But, sir you are eulogizing it like its a feature which is out of world. The unique fact is that these forces have practically conquered Pakistan. The land grab is the hallmark. Recent scam of allotment of 5500 acres at Margalla hills. They have captured 'Monal', CDA lands, Old presidential house at RWP, old forts like Bala Hisar fort (Peshawar), Noor Mahal, Darbar MAhal (BWP), all prime properties. You have termed the Quaid's 'Unity, Faith, Discipline' for forces rather than civilians. We are fast becoming like Russia.

I like the analysis that you’re presenting. However, I disagree with the idea that Pakistani citizens were--at any time in the past or the present--responsible for “creating” Pakistan. Pakistan, like many post colonial countries, came into existence at the end of World War II as an extension of British colonial policy. It is no secret that the British colonial system was premised on military conquest; unfortunately, Pakistan (owing to the lack of any coherent nation-state) only strengthened the praetorian colonial state. Moreover, the military’s control over Pakistan’s politics can not be separated from the economic control of the army. Is it not ironic that the chief of Pakistan’s army is (according to the website of the army welfare trust) the CEO of a capitalist organization that makes everything from cornflakes to real estate? It is, indeed, a “unique institution”. Perhaps only the Egyptian army competes with the scale of economic control that the Pak army exhibits.

In the case of Pakistan, I think it's a little late now to broach the subject of civilian supremacy. That train left town in Zia's time, and 40 years later it is now miles out of reach. The Army and its intelligence agencies own Pakistan by the b**** now. And please do not try to convince us that they aggressively maintain this iron lock because of selfless and altruistic reasons, or out of some naive concern for Pakistan's future and its safety. 60 years after the first martial law, it is very clear that the Army owns Pakistan for its own material benefit, out of ill intention and greed. It doesn't 'interfere', it just owns the whole damn town. We, the citizens, the taxpayers, the 'real' owners of Pakistan are just one of its properties. The Army's only problem is that in the 21st century it has become really important to maintain a facade of democracy and civilian rule - the outside world expects this. So they create this facade by co-opting money-hungry politicians like Nawaz Sharif or power-hungry politicians like Imran Khan. These puppets are expected to 'manage the restaurant' and return a good profit to the 'owner of the restaurant' (the Army, not the citizens of Pakistan). You allude to the fact that the citizens will need to understand the military mind set. I don't see the American taxpayers racking their brains trying to understand their military, and yet their army is the most powerful in human history. And it is also subordinate to the President, Congress and Supreme Court. Long story short, Pakistan will remain on a downward path until the Military is calling the shots. The day civilian supremacy happens (I dont think it will ever happen, civilians have been brainwashed) at least the direction will be correct. Then the smaller problems will go away in 5 years, the midsize problems in 10 years, and the larger problems in 20-25 years.

sir baat ye hy ky armed forces aapas mn to united or one unit hn but that group is not united with the civilians , they think that they are one notch above every civilian , so this unity between soldiers is good for nothing if its only for themselves and if they see themselves as a separate entity from all other citizens.

Bro, i think the unity which you're talking about between armed force and civilians requires a mean. This mean would be either political or non-political, there must be some institution or school of thought through which they should be brought to a single mindset. We are loosing ownership of our arme forces, once we'll own them i bet they will hug us like anytihng. long discussion. let sir ashir clear it in next video.. :)

How could this happen, someone would have done something definitely. So lets not follow blindly this corrupt media and use our own brain

Thing is this Blur is created by rulers in both institutions i.e army and civilans thing is we both civilans and army think we are above a notch other. this is due to past events and that hunger for authority over the other. thing is both should workout their differences. Dil saaf Pakistan pr qurban should be our moto. and also black sheep in all of our country should be taken out....

Ashir, I have been following your videos but the topic of the day is ARMY all over the world. I find it sponsored by the vested interests. You yourself is a witness to a dictator giving you authority to correct the issues of the Port Authority, and you stepped on the wrong toes of Zardari Daku. Whichever dictator came to the power they brought in local government system and as soon as the bloody civilian came to power he or she got rid of it. I see a visible difference between the king and bloody civilian both are corrupt with variable intensity. But I dont find the Afwaj ghaddar but I have reservations against bloody civilians.

Teach the army that civilians are suppose to run the country, and not the army. Teach them that the civilian President is their supreme commander and not the chief of army staff. Teach them the PM is the chief executive of the country and not the chief of army staff. Teach them how to respect their country men, the bloody civilians, and not to consider themselves above the law. Teach them like you teach them how to drill. Problem solved.

@@IK-wp5eq Yes ,Like ,Aitzaz Ehsan as Home Minister in Benizir's Government leaked the data of our field agents working in India showed ho much civilians can be trusted . Civilians only look for their own benefits and their own profit because they don't have to sacrifice their lifes on the borders and across the borders . One can just measure the love for his country by yhe amount of tax civilians pay . From a shopkeeper to a billionaire , everyone is busy in saving money by not giving Income Tax where every military person gets his pay after 10% deduction of tax . If Civilians cannot even contribute this much then how can they be given complete autonomy ? History has teached us a lot and we don't want bloody civilians ( those who are just working for their own benifit ) to run the system alone . First Sacrifice Something Then Demand . Nothing is given in Plate You have to prove yourself . And everone knows the performances of civil governments . Establishment never asked any ruler to do corruption that may be financial or moral . @@muzammiltahir5349 Of course. How can we forget that "General Muhammad Ali Jinnah" gave us Pakistan. And how can the Pakistanis forget General Yahya Khan who helped in the making of Bangladesh. How can we forget General Musharraf made bounty in US dollars by handing the citizens of Pakistan, marvelous business acumen indeed and a great foreign exchange earner chief of the army. Oh and the tax. The countries offer their civilian top notch facilities, even free state of the art medical or state supported medical insurance, social security for the disabled, social security for the poor, social security for the elderly. Free and fair opportunities for the civilians to do business with protection from the state. Unlike Pakistan, most lucrative businesses are run by civilians worldwide except in banana republic states. Even if your ethnic background is not the same as the majority or even if you are a legal immigrant turned citizen, you can work on government and even military projects just by signing papers and nobody would question your loyalty to the state. Free good standard high school education for all bloody and non bloody civilians alike. No load shedding, no gas load shedding, no long queues to pay bills, no complication doing any govt paper work, in general a smooth and easy life and then both the bloody and the non bloody civilians of that state pay tax without any fuss. Oh and you said military pays tax. Dear when you are a salaried person, you have no choice of not paying tax, its already deducted. Oh and now army will decide to give autonomy to people, who are the actual owner of Pakistan. Who gave army the power to give autonomy to the people of Pakistan? Army is a servant of the people of Pakistan because army like other civil servants work for the people of Pakistan. Who made you the ruler? Why should people of Pakistan beg the army/servant of the people of Pakistan for anything? Why the people of Pakistan who are Pakistan need to prove anything to their servant i.e. the army of Pakistani nation? BTW Most successful states don't give military Generals free land so huge that it could be seen from the moon. Oh and so many Generals of Pakistan laid their lives by taking bullets right at the border, indeed. I can't remember their name though, please help name a few Generals who did that. And please don't make me talk about corruption, I don't wish to embarrass our army, so lets not go there. In other countries, if army breaks any rules like a traffic rule, they are served a traffic ticket. The army personal then happily takes the traffic ticket and does not call his battalion to help him rescue and evade the ticket or to beat the cop who served him ticket. If army assaults a bloody civilian, they get arrested and hand cuffed and sent to jail. FYI, when our Pakistani bloody civilians move abroad, they become their community leaders because the other states give these bloody civilians equal and fair opportunity to prosper. Don't work for army, work for Pakistan for a change and people of Pakistan AKA the bloody civilians are Pakistan.

@@batmanarkham5120 Right but also I think this is not only the army problem here, Anyone who has AUTHORITY or have been in some position, thinks that they are Covered, they are Good!, If they have some trouble or they have some work to be done, they'll just introduce their autority and their work is done... They just have to find some CONNECTION some SIFRASH and all good... Everone is covering each other's back just like army parade.. This is because our systems are not mature enough and a lot of control is given to human element. A good example is of Automatic traffic cameras sending chalans to houses, now even if it's a person in higher authority who gets an automated ticket, They know they have messed up and ready to accept their mistake and pay up.. I think techonolgy can solve our problems by making our systems transparent enough and free from decisions made by indivials.. We should be ruled by robots and automatiation or there should be enough transparent and open public data about each deciosn made by each person in authority....
