Thanks for posting! I bought a tuned ECU from R9K and just put it in and enjoy the extra torque. I started a channel dedicated to my XRS and posted a video from the first track day, and will be posting more in chronological order until we get caught up to now, the tuned car :) Still need to do intake / header / exhaust. So far, it seems like the weakest point on this car for track days is the brakes - they boil the fluid too easily if you get on them hard a few times.

thats what i did i own the 2005 matrix xrs and bought another ecu to get tuned but keeping the stock ecu for just incase i need a reflash with the a/f setup from the corolla t sport compressor when in the future i go supercharger when i find a good deal on the factory set up from the uk

+genu so I would say you go straight to a tune..if you think about the price of a tune vs the 03 matrix ecu, the tune would more cost affective if you are planning to upgrade more in the future

Thanks I just order a 03 matrix xrs ecu last night going to get it repin, so my car could be driven cause it's my daily. After the repin I will send my stock rolla ecu to get tuned.

I'd start simple intake and exhaust..depending on what you get but no more than 350

only ecus that can be flashed are 05+, has something to do with the chip in ecu. You can upgrade our harness to get the 05+ ecu then reflash

i have ppe headers and i deleted the air pump and I haven't noticed a difference just that the engine bay looks cleaner and if you want to keep the air pump order your headers with the air injection tube

like it was mentioned in the video those mods work great with ronies tune you can also get r9k's tune that will just depend on money wise. there's also scott making tunes so you can look him up on the Facebook page

AllFromA_Phone have you ever had this issue with the c60 transmission? it leaks from the cv axle seal. replaced it with the stock seal and new cv axle. and it just keeps leaking very slowly.
