2.2 saturn vue or 3.5. , It would be incredibly awesome if you had done it all step by step, also since the dryer should be replaced that would be helpful to show how to do as well. Just sayin other wise thanks for the info bro.

You don't need to take all that off to remove the ac compressor.... just remove it from the bottom! drop the subframe about 1" and it comes right out... you made your self double work doing it this way..

I didn't even drop the sub frame just jacked the motor up 1.5"

Well. Guess I’m dropping it off at the garage. Didn’t know you had to disconnect 80 other components to disconnect compressor. Just wanted to replace a seal that is leaking.

purge. empty the 134a. technically you're not suppose to just empty any of the contents of the AC system into the air. most shops have a way or recovering the 134a. If the AC is already empty and the necessary repair is done, a vacuum pump needs to be connected to create a negative pressure before the Freon is added. hope that helps, good luck

if that is the case just disconnect it (but be careful). after installing the new compressor you should add the required compressor oil and connect a vacuum pump to the system.

Old video I know but the process is called "Reclaim the Freon" so the lines are empty for you to work on it. Then have someone vacuum it down after you finish the install and recharged. You can't just put freon in since there will be air in the system as well which will cause pressure problems when adding the correct amount of Freon and oil.

Why not just have lowered the engine and taken it out by way of the bottom instead and saved yourself the trouble of removing all that extra stuff by jacking the engine down just the front half
