Just bought a side by side this motor on it. Very glad to come across this series. It's been sitting outside uncovered for 4 or 5 years. Scared of what I'm gonna get in to. Great video

Hey man! Using some Plastigauge should give you some piece of mind when re-assembling the bottom end. Can't wait to see what that engine looks like when it's opened up!

Is it definitely the motor? Or is it the cam chain tensioner? I have a similar sound 06
