I have been in pain for the past 3 months. I was referred to Orthopedic surgeon, neurosurgeon, and RA, Fybro physician. All claimed to not be able to help me. Until I ended up in the ER, did a Dr. tell me that it appeared to be a pinched nerve, Cervical Radiculopathy. I will begin to do your exercises and pray these exercise will take away my pain.

Dear Dr. Furlan, you explained what I have going on, Cervical Radiculopathy, better than any of the other KZbin videos I watched, and even better than the different Dr.s I went to trying to fix it. I got a steroid injection yesterday which helped me to sleep better last night, but still not 100%. I have started the exercises that you demonstrated, and feel confident they will help. I showed my Brazillian wife your video when she arrived home from work, and she recognized quickly that you are Brazillian as well!! Obrigado!

Thank you, I've learnt more from this video than from my doctor. I've been complaining for over a year now that this keeps happening and it was put down to just being "a Fibro thing" it's gotten progressively worse, I end up bed ridden unable to move and other days I can walk about but barely move my shoulder/arm. I wish I looked into your videos sooner, I'd seen some of you Fibro ones in the past but didn't realise how much more you cover!

It aggravates my left arm and sends the shock down my arm /bicep and light pins in index with pain in like a pull kind of way Sorry hard to describe and very excited with your detailed explanation/description

i had a really bad pinched nerve attack 2 weeks ago in my C7 neck area and actually had to take narcotics for two days the pain was so bad. Now I'm left with residual soreness and numbness but these exercises are AMAZING! I went three nights not being able to sleep because of pain and after doing these stretches religiously for one day I finally got a good night's sleep. I'm still going to PT but thank you so much Dr. Furlan!

I know exactly what you were going through, because you’re describing everything I’m going through right now. I agree pain meds don’t work as good as the physical therapy does. It does help me go through the day, but it’s just not a long term solution for sure. I hope you are feeling better, I’m still trying to get there.

I’m very grateful to you Doctor for this video. After an aggressive aerobic exercise (I’m 75) this pain started the following day n got worse and worse. I checked about 2 dozens pinched neck videos but none matched the problem I had so not sure if the exercises were suitable. Your video explains clearly where the pinched nerve is and the intense pain it causes along the back of the arm right down to the middle finger. It’s almost a month now and even with medication the tingling is terrible when I sit straight on a couch. I’m hoping it’ll become better in 90 days with the exercises you suggest. It’s like a miracle Dr Furlan. A follow up report about my condition. I mentioned b4 I watched about 2 dozens pinched nerve educational n exercise videos for a month. I knew I had C7 nerve problem but the exercises didn’t address specifically middle finger and pain in the back of the arm. I had full confidence I was going to get better when I watched your video. I did the exercises only 3/4 times a day for 5 days and voila I’m off pain killers and the pain is 90% gone after a month of excruciating unbearable pain. 🙏🙏🙏 thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

Physiotherapy is short term relief, people don’t understand the course of nature in many msk conditions and have mind set that passive treatment is going to be like a magic cure. Patients also don’t understand that outside that 30 mins of physio session you are the one who will be in controlled and responsible for your symptoms. Knowing how you can control your system with activity modifications, pain management and exercises is important part of recovery.

Thanks - it is a hell of a pain for a year now. Started with no feeling in my right middle finger and then pain under the elbow going up to my neck. Typical relief position is indeed to put my arm above my head. Will follow your exercises and see if it improves the pain.

I had an accident where I got all my disk in my cervical bulging. it's been painful. You step into the unknown but I'm blessed just to do these exercises with the Doctor. I hope i can meet one day and help her clean or do something in gratitude, when i get better I'm 44 and counting on Heavenly Father to guide me to good doctors like this. We''re Champs! God bless you Doctor, I'm going through agony in both shoulders since June. When 1 shoulder is OK the other starts to get worse. I have multi segmental prolapsed discs in my cervical spine. Your advice is much appreciated. 🙏🇮🇪❤️

Great video. I have found a direct relationship with cervical tension and jaw behavior. I have had clients who went to bed fine and during sleep herniated one or more cervical disks by extreme jaw clenching.... helping people to remember to remember to relax their jaws and breathe deeply with diaphragm fully distending, is always a part of my neuro-muscular routines to help reduce pain. Ice is a great way to sedate cervical irritations after stretching sessions and before bed....

Thank you for this information. For the past 6 months, I couldn't figure out why kept experiencing fast heart rate, high blood pressure, muscle twitching, cold arm, and tingling in neck. My primary physician kept telling me that it was anxiety. I'm going to follow up with my neurologist.

Thank you doctor. Recently I had a fall and from that day my right should and arm pains a lot. Including my right hand. Not able to write down continuously while taking down shorthand dictation. My hand stops while right and i have to force my self to complete the sentence . I will start these exercises from today and see the changes. 🙏

You know what you are taking about! I have been lifting my arm overhead just like you showed to alleviate the pulling, stretching, burning feeling in my upper under arm. I'm a t1 injury. Mine is from sleeping on it wrong a couple weeks ago.
