Nowhere else to vent about this, so apologies in advance that I'm putting this on your comment section Jimbo but your vids have been a major help while I've been learning to drive. I had my test cancelled by the Marrickville Centre WITHOUT any notification, call or email. I rock up to the test today and find out it was cancelled at some point in the past day or two supposedly because of a sick instructor. I booked the test over a month in advance since I knew it would be booked out and now the area that I've been learning to drive in is entirely booked out until next year. It's beyond the pale.

@@drtyler1234 Hi mate yes that does suck. I've recently had this happen with a student. They may have rung you but the number comes up as Private and nobody answers those. Are you sure Marrickville is booked out til next year? That seems odd. Or is it they haven't allocated more tests yet? The online system doesn't distinguish between booked out and not allocated yet.

I just double checked and it seems there are some available in the middle of December at marrickville but I've already booked for a test in a few weeks at Blacktown since I've done some driving out that way. Hey man love your channel, been trying to complete my L license for a bit now and had been struggling with it due to my confidence. You have any tips on head checks while driving, I get it down pat pretty easily but sometimes miss some when I’m doing driving practice with a trainer and want to get better and more efficient at it. Thanks for the mock test video at Edmondson park btw it’s really helpful learning the route for when I get to do the test myself

Does it have to be handbrake then parking gear or is parking gear then handbraking acceptable?

Funny I knew that was going to be one of the first questions but just didn't think to address it in the vid. It doesn't matter as far as the test. Test but mechanics generally say HB first when shutting down and HB last when leaving is better for the car.

Hey Jimbo, are you not supposed to stop within 25cm of the gutter but not on it? I thought parking on the gutter itself was illegal?

@@jonboyz31 It's within 50cm of the kerb. The kerb is the vertical bit. The gutter extends about 45cm out. Being on the gutter means your are withing 50cm of the kerb.

You judge it by looking over your bonnet. Also by using your side mirror. You practice this until you have to good. Best of luck for you test 🤞

Yes it's a minimum of 5 secs before pulling out. After 5 secs pull out when safe.

Hi, Jimbo. What should i do if driving on wide unmarking road and then want to turn right? Because, in law you have to drive a little to the left of the road. @@GhoziSulthani Hi mate if as you say it is a wide single lane road and you want to turn right, then you need to estimate the centre of the road where they would normally paint a line and position your car close to this. You don't want to be unnecessarily to far to the left when turning right.

Is a car with a foot-controlled handbrake acceptable for the driving test? My car is 2014 Honda CR-V which is having a foot operated handbrake.

@@pshimjith yes you can use that. Just put the foot brake on just the same as pulling the lever or pulling the button up. And disengage the same .

You will fail. You don't have it in you, and stuff like that. I literally, just followed your video, and I was giving it during the school time. Hey Jimbo, I was just wondering with headchecks is there a certain order you must do them in, most of the time i do indicate, wait ,mirror, then blindspot, diverge. Is that fine or should that be fixed?
