Hi Jimbo I live in Port Stephens New South Wales I'm 56 and lost my licence for a but now I want to get back on the road I've had three attempts and all resulted in fail and mainly the head checks how I would wish that you could run through all the head checks ECT before my next driving test on the 13th of January sincerely cherry

Hi jimbo i booked for a driveing test, just wondering, does it require to do headaches when we are turning right? Before or while we make the turn?

It is a check that is listed in the testing officers manual but from my experience it doesn't seem to be marked. Noone on here has ever posted back and said they were marked down for not checking right when turning. If you want to do it then do it.

The NSW testing officers manual removed the marked head check when leaving a multi lane roundabout a few years ago. It may be advantageous to still do it when exiting large multi lane roundabouts.

I wish i watch this video sooner. Never drive, no experience before coming to Australia, had 4hours of lessons and confidently take the test. Boom. failed 3 times. Low ability in a hard level test. Took thw test in merryland 2160. I can say its hard difficulty level for me, because it could be very very busy sometimes for a test route. Any time of the test are the same. A lot of buses, traffic, bike rider, school zone. Short distance between couple of redlight, easy to trap in the middle of red light. Good luck for all of us. I will take my 4th driving test on different test site soon.

@@yongkyputra1173 Hi mate sorry to hear you are having trouble passing. Your problem is that you are simply not ready. Having not driven and only done 4 hours is not enough. Continuing to book tests is not a good solution. You need to improve your driving skills by driving more and maybe booking more lessons with a good (not cheap) instructor. Best of luck with this.

What's the recommended distance before a turn I should start indicating? My instructor said I was indicating too late (also not doing MISS consistently) but I'm not sure how to judge the distance needed without it becoming confusing for other drivers, e.g. making them think I'm turning into a driveway.

@@egg62 probably a bit earlier than what you are doing. Keep doing it earlier until your instructor says it's good. Then remember that distance.

I've heard all sorts of things about how to signal when leaving a slip lane. Some people say you should signal right to join the main road, while others say just stick with the left indicator. Which one is actually right?

It all depends how much the slip lane wraps around to the left. New "Left turn anytime" slips lanes don't wrap much and just point slightly angled to the left. With these just use left signal in and out. Ones that wrap around more and you steer/merge right to exit, you would need left in and right out. If you are not sure then just do left and right. That will be fine on a driving test.

Hi Jimbo, Thank you so much for the amazing videos. Can you please do the following: How to start the car when you are about to join the road. How to indicate on the roundabout: Some people are confused with the right indication and change it to left when exiting. And also, do we have to indicate left when going straight on the roundabout? How do we indicate when making a U-turn? how to react in front of the ambulance during your driving test. There are some streets without a stop sign, but they do have broken lights. How should you react when you get to the end of such streets? Also, the rules on the broken line...some areas you are not allowed to cross over to the broken line. Thank you!

1. When joining the road, you need to check, then signal to keep looking until it is safe to do so also you may need to slow down or accelerate depending on the position and speed of the cars on the side where you are merging.. 2. That is called an exit signal you don't need one if it is a signal lane roundabouts. You only need one in double lane roundabouts where there are two or more lane in the round about or at the exit. 3. You need to see where the ambulance is coming from, and go to other side if left move a bit to the left if right move a bit to the left. 3. Broken lines means give away, you don't have to stop but you still need to give way to vehicles. 4. Not sure about what you mean but generally we can cross all broken lines. Good luck

I passed my P but I still find mini busy roundabout challenging. Most videos show light traffic roundabout but this video really helped me see what to watch and how to enter gap timing in a busy roundabout.
