Sun Valley is a ski resort in Idaho. An anecdote I like in particular is: Nathan was invited to perform in the ice show there when he was ten. He became more popular and famous, but he returned there every year to debut his program for the coming season. This is his way of saying thanks to the people who gave him a stage early in his career.
