'09 KIA Spectra EX: Replacing Radiator, Thermostat, and Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

I have an 09 Kia Spectra Ex and changed the thermostat. Worked perfectly for 5 days and then all the coolant came out of the car at the thermostat. It was flush when I put it in. Can you tell me how to make sure the thermostat sits perfectly in?

Sounds like you didn’t replace the O ring around the thermostat, so over time you drove it and the old O ring rubber turned to a harder brittler rubber and let out coolant. Every time you replace the thermostat you also need a new O ring especially older cars 12+ years
