Will never forget standing in the audience at this show and noticing tears running down my face during this song, and then looking at my friend and his girlfriend also crying, and then noticing everyone I could see around me also in tears. Still the most powerful emotion I've ever felt at a rock concert all these years later, and devestating to watch back with my own dad now passed away.

I see a few tears in Bono’s eyes. Emotional performance. I don’t even want to call it a performance. Everyone was saying goodbye to Bob Hewson and his son was the ringleader. 😢😢❤❤ He looks to the audience shortly after with an incredible look on his face, and a smile, like “thank you for helping me through this or being her for me”.

If you love him then tell him so and try to get closer. My father died when I was 22, last time I saw him he was asleep, at the hospital. I had to go to work to another city and after a few days my sister called me to say he passed away. He was an excellent man, not such a good father cause he never figured out how to approach me I guess... when I was young I didn't care but now I miss him A LOT, I always wonder why I didn't try to get closer to him. Don't make my mistake. God bless you.

16 years ago as a teenager watching this DVD with my Dad this moment was my musical awakening. Before that I had a closed mind to any type of music besides grunge rock. I'm forever thankful to my Dad for watching Slane Castle what seemed like every weekend for about two years. And of course a big shout out to Bono and U2 for this very special performance just a few days after his father passed.

Almost the same for me. I got this as my first U2 concert on dvd from a friend. It has certainly awakened me to U2 music (although I already liked their music in general). Have played this so many times. Still one of the best, if not the best performance they gave on video.

Thank You!
