Anybody listening to this beautiful song in the middle of the 2020 quarantine? Great music. One day we'll be singing these anthems in a stadium together again. Life should be fragrant, rooftop to the basement!

Will never forget standing in the audience at this show and noticing tears running down my face during this song, and then looking at my friend and his girlfriend also crying, and then noticing everyone I could see around me also in tears. Still the most powerful emotion I've ever felt at a rock concert all these years later, and devestating to watch back with my own dad now passed away.

I see a few tears in Bono’s eyes. Emotional performance. I don’t even want to call it a performance. Everyone was saying goodbye to Bob Hewson and his son was the ringleader. 😢😢❤❤ He looks to the audience shortly after with an incredible look on his face, and a smile, like “thank you for helping me through this or being her for me”.

If you love him then tell him so and try to get closer. My father died when I was 22, last time I saw him he was asleep, at the hospital. I had to go to work to another city and after a few days my sister called me to say he passed away. He was an excellent man, not such a good father cause he never figured out how to approach me I guess... when I was young I didn't care but now I miss him A LOT, I always wonder why I didn't try to get closer to him. Don't make my mistake. God bless you.

16 years ago as a teenager watching this DVD with my Dad this moment was my musical awakening. Before that I had a closed mind to any type of music besides grunge rock. I'm forever thankful to my Dad for watching Slane Castle what seemed like every weekend for about two years. And of course a big shout out to Bono and U2 for this very special performance just a few days after his father passed.

Almost the same for me. I got this as my first U2 concert on dvd from a friend. It has certainly awakened me to U2 music (although I already liked their music in general). Have played this so many times. Still one of the best, if not the best performance they gave on video.

I watch this a about once a month and it never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Bono might have an ego the size of Texas but he's also a really beautiful person. Seeing U2 for the first time all those years ago in 1983 when I was 17 helped change my life in such and important and meaningful way. Cheers all from California. :-) I feel a deep bond with anyone who was affected in a profound way by U2's music.

Still listening in 2019 🤟 Lyrics: Something is about to give I can feel it coming I think I know what it means I'm not afraid to die I'm not afraid to live And when I'm flat on my back I hope to feel like I did And hardness, it sets in You need some protection The thinner the skin I want you to know That you don't need me anymore I want you to know You don't need anyone or anything at all Who's to say where the wind will take you Who's to say what it is will break you I don't know which way the wind will blow Who's to know when the time's come around Don't want to see you cry I know that this is not goodbye In summer I can taste the salt in the sea There's a kite blowing out of control on a breeze I wonder what's gonna happen to you You wonder what has happened to me I'm a man, I'm not a child A man who sees The shadow behind your eyes Who's to say where the wind will take you Who's to say what it is will break you I don't know where the wind will blow Who's to know when the time's come around Don't want to see you cry I know that this is not goodbye Did I waste it? All is so emotional here : the song, the music, the lyrics, the loss of his father, the fact they play it at home during one of their greatest show, and of course, of course the way Bono sings the song here with so passion in his voice. Every time I listen to it, I know that I will have a ball in my throat. By the way, I prefer so far this version than the album version because of the way they play it here

This is so strong.. Anyone who's lost anyone they where not ready to let go of will feel this. Just when i had "let go of" U2, this album and song came out. In my opinion what happened to Bono took them out of golden cowboyhats, gave him something important (personal) to write about and put u2 back on the map as maybe the most important band in modern rock. Thank You!
