The world’s most underrated and under appreciated band. They’re absolutely brilliant.

Goosebumps at 9:35 when he's shouting! Man, I'm so thankful that I was able to attend gigs back in the day before individuals started watching the gig through their mobile phones rather than enjoying the moment and the music!

I just love Jim’s performance. The way he whipped the crowd up for the big finish is just brilliant. Charlie and Derek were awesome.

I grew up in the same town is Jim I have to say he was a little bit older than me but you have to understand how he made it against the odds it's remarkable simple minds are legends in Glasgow gave us all so much optimism when things were pretty shite in Scotland

Awesome band having an awesome live show. They could really deliver whether on stage, in the studio or writing excellent songs. Four solid decades of greatness.

I love how Jim includes Akron, Ohio (birthplace of his then wife, Chrissy Hynde) in his list of cities. Then he has that cheeky smile afterwards. Haha I love it. 💖

The whole band was/are/were brilliant, this period 81-83, maybe 84 was momentous, they didn't know and didn't care where the next album was or where it would take them, risks paid off but sister feelings call/sons and fascination still holds it today
@realnoid78393 жыл бұрын
Amazing! Everybody enjoying themselves. I came from the Perfect Pitch movie with this guy in the audience yawning until they did See About Me. Then I said to myself, self? That’s got to be the Simple Minds lead singer. New Gold Dream.

Recall seeing simple minds at rock city in Nottingham not too long before this if my memory serves me right and they played a great version of the American (nowhere to this level) to a stunned rock city who didn’t really appreciate how good they were back then.

Just damn brilliant. I missed seeing them live in Boston at the Orpheum theater in 1984 as a teen because my friend back then couldn’t supply the promised ride home. I was devastated. I stopped talking to her. I wasted $50 bucks on a ticket not used. This is probably what I missed!

I had an opportunity to see the classic line-up of this band in Sydney, Australia, in 1983. I didn't go, even though I was a major fan. Mick MacNeil was a king of the keys. I regret not going to that gig... Selina's at Coogee Beach. The original line-up of Simple Minds will never play again, I fear, and even if they did, the feeling would not be the same.

Think it's more to do with the lack of culture and global understanding of a spoilt brat, bully in a playground. Not simplified as aggression. That's just a part of it just as ignorance and running with scissors is. It encompases a lot more.
