I Love Simple Minds music. As to those who call them' a second rate U2' I say wtfru smoking? As an American I can tell you every time we want to stay home and mind our own business we are bombarded with "Why don't the Americans do something?" That's our side of the story anyway and why we secretly love the French, (seriously, don't let the world know that) The French got tired of holding up everyone else's fights too.
@JonB19958 жыл бұрын
+Ron Ball to be fair, they did become a second rate U2 around the mid-80s. At this point they were head and shoulders above them though.

I wish people on here stop saying they went shit after 1984, because they went more main stream. Yes they did a little bit, but they never crave for media attention or nothing. What about real life album in 1991? Fantastic album. They just do good music because its in their blood.

Never seen these words before although this cassette has accompanied me for thousands of miles criss-crossing Europe in the car. The one sentence I thought I heard was "here comes the man with a midfield plan" which is obviously wrong. Trying to sing the words to a song you know well (but not that well, clearly) is a challenge!

"Nassau club" refers to the organization at Princeton University where Niels Bohr and a number of other Manhattan Project scientists lived and socialized. "Caught a boy fall out of the sky.." -- The first atomic bomb used against human beings was named "Little Boy" (Hiroshima). "airfield plan" makes perfect sense. and "Collective faith" rather than "fame," as it required belief in some kind of "goodness" to unleash such a terrible weapon. What do you know about this world, anyway?
