I think your training is absolutely spot on Derek. I guess if the screw snapped in the lock it would then make it difficult to drill? Cheers for that Derek, that's super interesting. I didn't even know that manufacturers had designed locks against this attack. 😉👍

Thanks for watching Roy some BSEN1303 Euros and certainly one star and 3 star euros should offer resistance against this type of attack. Ive only ever used it once in the field and leave it in my workshop.

I’m exactly the same Derek. I bought a lock puller when I first started and NEVER used it!! So many other, more reliable methods to use! Great video mate

Great to hear your thoughts on this. Yeah if you have to drill into the lock any way better off to keep drilling to clear the pins. Thanks for sharing, cheers

I've never heard of one of those . Does it damage the door as well ? Nice one mate 👍 All the best to you and yours 👍 🍻 🍻

Theyve been around for a long time you might know the technique as similar to using a slide hammer. Usually no damage to the door. Although their could be damage to the upvc handles. The older locks it can work on can be snapped by the tool before the core is pulled. Designed to make it easier and faster for the fire service etc to gain entry, but with the newer locks it can make things worse and more time consuming especially if the screw snaps in the lock.
