We had to do this with the mother in law when she got dementia. Before the dementia she always put the snip on the door so she never got locked out which normally is a great habit to get into. Unfortunately though when she got dementia we would find she had automatically put it on and the door was always unlocked leaving her extremely vulnerable. So there are cases when this is a really good idea. Great info. Cheers Derek.
