Something else I’d recommend is a pole arm, remember, bolts & arrows may be hard to retrieve. A pole arm would keep those zombies at bay. I’d like to make one point though about the guns, the more ammo you have the better cuz once you use up the ammo, it’s used, who’s making more gun powder & primers for reloads & whos working in the factory to make them, NOBODY.

Hatchet (doesn't really nead sharpening and is a useful tool). Biker suite. Like just imagine trying to bite through that. Big ass backpack. Last thing you want is to find something cool or useful and not having the space to bring it with you. Rope lots and lots of rope. I would also suggest climbing gear. Could be really useful in finding trully safe shelter. A drone would be nice so you don't have to personally scout everything. Survival guide book. Books in general are gonna quite literally be worth their volume in gold. How to make a fire how to find water how to tie a knot. And since the internet is gonna go down sooner rather than later, in a or 2 generations a book about technology would be like a religious text that actually worked. Lock pick. whilst it might be faster and easier to open looks by smashing them. You might not wanna start every locked room with a lound banging. Screwdriver. Might take a bit of time but its probably gonna be great help in salvage.

Short while with them, deaf as the rest What a normal person would hear in woods surrounded by zombies: ''urrr...snap, crunch, rustle, rustle, urrr...grarr, crunch , rustle, rustle.. BITE!" What the survivors hear, "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee rustle, rustle.. BITE!"

You missed something absurdly important: plate armor. Physiologically speaking, most of the zombies are going to have deteriorating musculature, which means the only thing they're chewing through is that applesauce. Also, the human jaw, even at its strongest, will struggle to bite through plate. Not only that, but you also get the added effect of looking like you're rescuing a damsel in distress. Bonus points if you have titanium, because buckshot and crossbow bolts aren't getting through that without a lucky shot through a visor (which is why you pick up something to cover that gap). Zombie apocalypse ain't anything to be concerned about, even if somehow they evolve to climb trees. Not only that, but you have to ask yourself, "if they're dead and brought back to life, what's the animating force? Which means, we need a necromancer vs shotgun showdown in an apocalypse movie.

I'd carry my AR-15 in 5.56, my 22lr conversion kit and my silencer instead of a crossbow. Shoot loud and far in 5.56 or sneaky up close in 22lr. Already have a scope, backpack, water filters, no crossbow but silenced 22lr, duck tape, first aid (a few in fact), one of my EDC items is a rechargeable flashlight, got lots of lighters, got boots, got a few knives, got a music player and a radio, got a shotgun, I got a tent, toothbrush, and got 2 pistols, you forgot a machete. I'm set!!
