🚨 Also, you may hear B as "b grande" and v as "b chica" from the older alphabet.

@@Blacklingual My in-laws only speak Spanish. I’ve been with my husband for 11 years. I cannot communicate with my in-laws very well (we don’t see them because they live in Querétaro, MX and travel for a fam of 6 is not cheap). My kids do not know Spanish and can’t communicate with their family.

@@krystalgarcia6598 well that is some amazing motivation to learn! That would be an incredible experience to travel to see family and be able to communicate with them for the first time! Sometimes the difference is truly just finding the right teacher or resource that can teach you in a way that clicks for you

@@krystalgarcia6598 Literally Same sis!!! 😫 Married 14 years this year. My mom in law moved in with me and speaks zero English. My husband was born in Chicago but perfect Spanish Neither of my kids nor my stepdaughter who I raise speak Spanish, so they can’t easily communicate w/her which is really sad to me. I can’t wait to learn so I can teach them ❤ Good luck to you. Happy learning!!

My dad's side of the family is Cuban and I do not speak a lick of Spanish. I want to communicate with my grandma! Hopping this works out for me 🙏🏾

🙏🏽 I hope it works for you too! If u put in the work and go out and speak what u learn as often as u can, you're basically guaranteed success. But speaking is KEY so start doing that IMMEDIATELY. Today AND tomorrow.

What happened to CH & RR?
@Blacklingual Жыл бұрын
The Spanish Royal Academy removed them because they decided that they're basically just letter combinations. Like in English, we have CH too, but it's not in our alphabet--its just a combination of C and H. So the sounds still exist, they're just not a part of the Spanish alphabet anymore.

I took German in middle and high school never had a Spanish class in my life. Then I married a Mexican and 14years later still don’t know very much and my kids don’t know any. I recently moved my mom in law with me and she speaks zero English. The little bit of Spanish I do know I learned from her. I can pick up on enough words to guess at a sentence. I know some conversation but not basics like alphabet, numbers, days of the week, seasons etc Also my mom in law is super sweet and loves to tell stories. She don’t even care that I have no clue what she’s saying half the time. One day I wanna be able to understand her stories

random but as a heritage speaker nobody really even thinks to teach you the alphabet lol, then your ask to spell out your name and you go blank
@BlacklingualАй бұрын
LITERALLY 😂 That's the EXACT example I always give people! You should AT LEAST know the letters in your full name. But it helps to also know your email address and address también. Uno nunca sabe! 😂
