I enjoy your hands on experimentation, I like mirroring your experiments to see if I get similar results under similar circumstances to see if the QC of Thunder Laser is the same across multiple distribution platforms across our realm (I.e Canada 🇨🇦 and USA 🇺🇸) I appreciate you and your impeccable dedication to your Bolt discovery. I alway look forward to my KZbin notifications to see if Gord has a new experiment to share. Cheers 🥂 from Vancouver, Washington

Great job Gord, interesting how those machines work and how they can be programed . Good seeing Lil GP at her work carrying her weight. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.

@@LaserNUG One thing i havent seen so far, is someone set up and utilize the built in camera. I do alot of engravings on single items, and i think that would be a great video. Showing how to use, and the accuracy!

I process my images in photoshop where you have far more leverage to bring out the details, but most images can use lightburns invert and gamma settings to get good results, just depends on the job. The name of the game is full speed with the lowest power setting unless you dont mind a deeper engraving or thats what you are going for. Im nervous about those delrin wheels on the gantry, they wear out on 3d printers and Im just not convinced they will hold up to years of abuse especially when engraving.

From your video your goal was to stay high speed. What I found was 250mm/sec; 27.5 min/max power gave me the best results. 0.050 interval or 508 DPI in Stucki using the 1.5" lens. My image had a lot of contrast. Gama had to be tweaked to 250ish with an enhanced radius of 4 in photo adjustments. Great video by the way.

Hi G.P, that machine is amazing. I’ve seen it burn different kinds of wood and metal. Does it work on glass? And have you tried any glass? Great video G.P.

It does. But I haven't tried it yet

Thanks for this. I'm confused as to why lowering the Minimum setting slows the laser down, I thought Max/Min settings only affected the power level, not the speed?
@LaserNUG11 ай бұрын
Hey good day Ron. Thanks very much. I believe you are right and I characterized it incorrectly - I believe it does only reduce the power - not the speed. Thanks for helping clarify this. Cheers!
