Is the trunk going to be legal in US because I think regulations are that stoplights have to be on non moving part, so no trunk. I mean it can be in the trunk but it has to have some on the body.

Since the motors appear to peak at 670 hp each, that Performance rear axle with two of then might be able to draw all the power the battery have to offer. I'm curious whether they'll car regen at 300 kW (or lower) or so something interesting with these usually very short inputs during dynamic driving.

I’m a Tesla owner and a total EV advocate, so any new EV’s coming to market are a great thing. This is a great video and I can’t wait to see this car take away even more market share from the ICE producers. Also, I am very observant. 164 miles of (actual) range at 50% charge sounds very comparable to what you find on the Model S LR in the real world. That said, this car will be far more satisfying to the ultra rich crowd than the top of the line Model S will ever be. The cost difference of charging at an EA 350kw station vs. the Tesla SC network will mean nothing to those who can afford this type of vehicle. I think Lucid did a great job on the design. I wish them luck on the production and sales. It’s a Tesla Model S killer when the Dream edition drops to $105k.

There's some subtley here, Tesla has been driving down the cost of production so much, they profit and far ahead on certain things. For instance by the time dream edition is in full swing, the 2020 roadster i truly believe will be in production, so 180 K for lucid vs. 200 K for 2020 roadster. I still like the roadster more.

My concern is that the flip-out mechanical center screen will need expensive repairs if something goes wrong. Also any type of LED screen may be prone to delamination over time. To replace each screen would cost over $1000. Cool design, cool concept. Concerned about the money you'll have to fork out when the Warranty runs out.
