u must have some fond memories of the mid 70s cup winning flyers? I was 8 and i remember them well. Boy were they fun to watch? How great were those Broadstreet bullies?? Dave Schultz, Bobby Clarke, bill barber, bernie parent... every team was scared to play them. man were they tough and hockey was so much more fun to watch back then than today, u agree?? fights every 3 min.. I am lucky to be born in MOntreal where i grew up with those 4 straight cups in the 70s with Guy Lafleur and co..

I'm not sure I've liked a hockey player as fast as I have come to like Jamie. Down to earth dude that just wants to be the best version of himself on the ice. Really excited for what might come next for him and for this team going forward.

Ducks fan here. I always enjoyed watching JD play when I could (live in Texas). All his interviews and bits ducks media would do, he always seemed very relatable as a person. I’ll always root for him, except against the ducks. But even if he scores against us (and he will) i won’t be mad. Much respect to JD, torts and flyers nation. It’s on my bucket list to got to a game there and enjoy a real Philly cheesesteak. GL on y’all’s season

Nice debut. From somebody who missed the entire 2022 and the beginning of this season with a bad shoulder injury. It was cool seeing his parents there. He played his junior hockey for the Erie Otters in the Ontario Hockey League.

Flyers need another center besides Couturier who can actually reliably win a majority of face offs. Because the OT format is such a possession game, winning face offs is a big deal in OT. Couturier played most of that OT, partly to win face offs. If you watched the OT, the Flyers rotated three defensemen: Sanheim, York, and Drysdale. So they now have a good set of D men for OT, as well as power play.

it's tough losing a dynamic offensive player like gauthier but this guy is a genius. great skater, quick and good decisions with the puck, passing, shooting. hopefully he opens things up on offense. fun to watch.

I'd say a solid not distant 4th. The fan base was absolutely rabid years ago but Flyers have mostly sucked since the cup run in 2010. If they can become a contender again after 15 years they'll be huge again in Philly. People just stopped caring after years of crappy hockey.
