Let's go, JD! Love the attitude, very well spoken right in the middle of getting his entire world flipped all of a sudden. Seems like he's handling it with all class. On the ice, Cutter's got all-world potential and skill as a power forward, but it seems people don't know too much about Drysdale- he's got the same potential but in a premium position the Flyers have desperately needed for years now. Really really rooting for this kid and if he can continue to grow and mature at that spot, man it is super exciting to envision! He can be one of the main pieces on a great team. #5 overall for #6 with 3 years of actual NHL experience, plus a second rounder. Pretty great trade honestly. Think it'll work for both teams in the long run really well

I don't know if this is a good trade or not. Time will tell. Gauthier has a very high ceiling and could be a superstar. I have a feeling that he didn't want to play in Philly and asked to be traded. I know Michkov asked to be a Flyer which is good because he's a generational talent like Bedard or McDavid. Haters like to say he's not..... but there were scouts that had him above Bedard but he's not willing to break his KHL contract for any other team but Philly (and that's supposed to be a secret). I don't think Gauthier has as high of a ceiling as Michkov does. And while I feel like they don't need another D-man. Really, they don't. I mean, they are running 7 D at times and almost all of them are high level guys. York, Sanhiem, Walker, Zamula, Seeler... all studs. I think they are looking to make another Makar type player. As a team with an attacking defense, I think he'll do well in Philly.
@tonyguerrier22584 ай бұрын
Will be interesting to see what Danny does next.
@godse5734 ай бұрын
Drysdale in almost certainly means Walker gets flipped at the deadline. It's a direct "upgrade", meaning it's just a more youthful roster spot and Walker would be great for an actual contender this year.
@RLS_914 ай бұрын
@@godse573 big chance we get a 1st round for Walker too , we’re gonna be loaded with picks
@darthollpheist11564 ай бұрын
@@godse573 I don't know about that. Walker could go. Sure. But I think they'll be looking to offload Risto before Walker. Walker has been SUPER good this season. York, Sanhiem, Walker, and Seeler.... and Zamula... have been THE guys they go to. Walker is always on the PK (3rd or 2nd best in the NHL), and even has one of the shorties that they lead the league in. They'll try to move Risto before Walker. 100%. They might not be able to because of his contract but they will try to move him. He's been a healthy scratch over and over. Or they trade Staal. He's also been a healthy scratch a lot. I doubt they would get rid of one of their 2nd pair d men over one of the 3rd pair guys of the healthy scratch guys. That being said. Walker is a very good D man. Dysdale is another Makar style player (possibly). He's not a great D man in his own end. They aren't going to get rid of someone that is. If they can work through the contract problem, Risto is the one going. I could see them getting rid of Frost too.
