1/100 Gundam Vidar Review

Funny part is Vidar isn't a demon of Ars Goeta like the others, but is instead a Norse god who killed Fenrir during Ragnarok by kicking the wolf deity's mouth open and slashing him apart.

True shame that Mr. Purple dumped the Vidar and reverted it into the Kimaris :(

It's symbolism at it's core as to why he did that. Also it's debatable whether or not the frame is the Kimaris or the Vidar. Heck it might even be both frames. Maybe it's just the Kimaris or the Vidar with different armor on. I feel like there are some questions about the Vidar and what happened to the Kimaris that I want answered.

Isn't the Vidar just a reworked Kimaris Trooper though, making it essentially the same frame? On the topic of him going back to the Kimaris, I understand why he did but I'm still disappointed since the Vidar was so damn cool looking. I knew he would have had another design for the final battle seeing as he unmasked and all that but I wish it had more of the Vidar characteristics...though the Kimaris Vidar is easily my favorite of the Kimaris "lineage."

yuyuhaio All Gundam frames are basically the same thing inside once you strip their armor and equipment, so either theory could work lol. But I do believe Gaelio was just using the same frame with different equipment sets, similar to the original Gusion and Akihiro's Rebake.

Well that's the thing. Did the Kimaris get destroyed beyond repair in it's battle with the Grimgerde? Did he just acquire a new gundam (aka the Vidar) and converted it into the Kimaris? Or it could it be the Kimaris survived and was repaired and that the Vidar was actually the Kimaris the whole time masquerading behind the name of a norse god with new armor? See that would make sense since Vidar isn't one of the names of the 72 demons. I agree however that the Kimaris Vidar is my favorite out of the Kimaris evolution/family tree.

Well see that's the thing. Being "basically" the same doesn't mean "identical". Usually there are slight variations in each frame and their Ahab reactors, since they said in the beginning that each Ahab reactor had it's own unique signature reading. So is it just the Kimaris playing dress up and upgraded or is it a new frame entirely?

the hand with the articulated wrist isn't for sheathing/unsheathing the sword. it's for dynamic poses.

hay Jabman, I just got the Master grade Full Armor Unicorn Gundam Ver. Kai. beside what you put in your review of his anything else about the kit a should know? also any tip about painting a Action 1 base stand? I only ask because well, I got most of the ones you review and to be frank you have not lead my astray yet. so thank you. and one more thing you do know that the MG Wing EW kits and the MG SEED kit share the same hands? they do and right now I got Sandrock's sword being held by Biuld Strike. it look badass.

You can't go wrong with either. Grimgerde's fucking awesome for a kit, but the Vidar's pretty excellent, flip a coin if you have to.
