Hey Kakarot just a heads up. None of the reviews mentioned this and even in the box and manual at all so I hope you will include it since worth mentioning. There's much more Torso articulation than what it looks to be. Just simply pull the upper and lower torso apart kinda like how the Virsago Chest Break opens up to fire its torso Cannon. With the torso opened it can bend up to crazy 90°. That's the reason why backpack connection has that sliding mechanism. It's to make up for that torso articulation. It's probably also where that engineering for the later RGs came from like the nu in particular.

Loved this build only one complaint the freaking v fin also the action base can handle the whole kit...but be warned certain poses that lead to front tilt will be its demise. XD

Got this kit like three weeks ago I think. I accidentally broke off the only one piece of the black things from the tactical arms II. One of the katanas also broke off by accident , by a sibling. Enjoyed the build even if it took me a awhile. The leg joints were definitely, the right leg’s hip joint kept wanting to come apart, so I had to move it around to put it back but can’t seem to connect it back tightly. So whenever I move the right left sideways, it makes the joint come apart.

I loved this one so much! The Astray Red Frame was my first master grade gunpla. I have yet to get into seed and its story but i saw the two katanas and knew I had to get it. I was really surprised when this came out.

Hot tip: use your smart phone with Google Lens and point it at the Japanese text in the manual. Voila! Instant translation. I've been doing this with the RG models that have some English but the weapon descriptions are all in Japanese only.

In the manual there is a pic of the Astray using the tactical arms as a giant claw, I’ve tried to do this but it’s very difficult

That's the 2nd MG Gunpla I've ever built! Mine still has scratch marks on its feet, because noob sanding. The "Cross-guard" parts of the tactical arms in Sword form grew loose over time, so watch out for that.

No matter how good you are at sanding, sanding will always produce scratch marks, the key is to progressively use finer and finer sand paper sanding in a different direction everytime you use a sand paper. If you plan to paint go up to 800 grit. If you dont plan to paint, you can stay at 800 if you think it looks good enough, go up to 1000, 1500, or use a polishing tool after 1500 grit depending on how much effort you want out of the kit.

I still think you should just combine unboxing videos with reviews since it feels a bit much for both. Regardless, I build this bad boi back in 2012 when it came out. I made that one into a custom so I kind of want another one T_T

I wonder, after the review is finished, would you care about repainting the Tactical Arms to the Tactical Arms Ω from Princess of the Sky? Ever since seeing the Gold Frame Amaterasu, I kept dreaming of a Master Grade of that kit since it's been years since it first appeared, and also we don't have a Master Grade of Gold Frame variants past its base form, hence why I see the Amaterasu as a start for a Gold Frame line (with that being the only retail Gold Frame, cause we did get the Amatsu Mina as a retail Real Grade) with optional finger-swapping hands for both the Red Frame and Blue Frame.
